  • Lucky you! Did it come in the mail? I haven't got mine yet :(

    • Yes I got it on Monday. Was about to throw the whole thing out cause it was soaking wet. Lucky I didn't!

  • Will this be $20 off the "advertised price" or the "regular price".
RACQ offers discounts off the "regular price", but the "advertised price" is usually below this discounted price.
Might be only useful for a lesser priced item.

    • "Discount applied to regular ticketed prices only"

    • +1

Well I was thinking if you find something that's normally $20 or below, you'll get it for free?

  • time to check out my junk mails….

  • or check the front area of the GGs (-well my local keeps the cattledogs at the front entrance)

  • it's pouring down rain. junk mail will be soaked :(

  • +2

    Coffee pods here I come.

  • Bah where could I get a original voucher from?

    • Try looking up around six posts

  • A Good Guys voucher !

I find that meaningless… You can pretty much always get a bigger discount just by asking !!!

    • +7

On a $20 item? You can get MORE than 100% discount just by asking? Receipt or it didn't happen.

        • +3

Well this IS OzBargain after all…

        • +2

lol, hence the neg for common sense !
          Yay

        • +2

I have a mountain of soap and makeup at home from grays that shows this stuff does happen.

        • +1

Of course it is going to happen, I just used my Ikea $20 voucher that way on Sunday. Last year I got some dumbbells at Rebel for free.

Shame I am not in QLD, otherwise I would do the same at GoodGuys. :-)

          This is OzBargain!

        • I got a nice T shirt and a pair of socks with my $20 FILA voucher.
          Didn't spend a cent.
Common sense among OZbargainers - Don't spend a cent!

        • I am with you paddym.. +1.. We can all testify to that.. Mine is more like an Anthill though since i missed out on many Grays Deals.. But Yes! This Stuff happens

    • Sure you can ask for a $20 discount on a $20 item?

  • +2

I can see a lot of disgruntled Ozbargainers trying to use this on a $20 item.
Sure it has no minimum spend but remember this is the GG's and they are renowned for adding terms to deals at their own discretion.
It's a franchisee so unless they are getting reibursed I can't see them giving their stock away.
    I hope I'm wrong though.

    • Guess who bears the 20% off tgg gift cards promo last year @ AusPost? Frachisees or franchisor?

    • According to paizuri you are almost wrong.

  • Anyone tried yet?

yep, at the Good Guys at Lutwyche.

they had a bunch of the catalogues out the front. Stocked up on coffee pods.

I felt like a bit of a mongrel not paying anything, so I got one hot choc coffee pod packet and 2 packs of normal coffee pods.

Total $20.50. Paid my fifty cents and I was off.

      This is legalised shoplifting, almost.

      • Great stuff! I'll try on Thursday. Hope it goes smoothly.

      • Ok Im Off to Lutwyche Then….

  • Wish I was in QLD :)

  • Nice! Purchase one, hope it will achieve on time!

  • I really hope they have this in stock… http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Lenoxx_Wi-Fi_Helicop… :-)

    • Can't you order online and pay in store with the voucher? Then your hope becomes reality.

  • Just rescued mine from the wheelie bin.

lol, yuck..they always have brochures at the front o the shops!

There are heaps of catalogues outside my The Good Guys store. Went in there and got a stick mixer. The manager didn't seem that happy that I was getting it for free but that's not my problem.

  • I popped in and used it yesterday (picking up a catalogue from the front as I walked in)

The girl serving laughed when I handed the voucher saying her manager hated this promotion. I asked what would happen if I bought something for $19.95 and she said "Yep, you get it for free"

    Crazy promotion!

They take your name (for warranty) so does that mean they keep a recording of the voucher used as well?

    • Probably. If you have a wife/girlfriend, they could buy a second item.

  • Never did receive a catalogue in the post, but went into the store anyway to check it out and luckily they had lots of catalogues out the front. I used the voucher without having to give any personal details.

    • How did you get away without providing your personal details ? The sales person asked if I have purchased from TGG then enter my name to search and when I pay the cashier, the tax invoice is ready to be printed.

  • My wife got a Homepedics scale and ream of paper. The sales lady even gave her 15% off! Thanks OP.

Just got back from Good Guys and picked up a Wahl - Performer hair clipper set on special for $19.95 less $20 coupon.. I got it for free.. and so I gave a tip of $0.05 to the Good Guys for being good guys!!

    • Good stuff! Thanks for sharing.

Went back last night and picked up a free set of bathroom scales

Will pick up a $6 ink cartridge next visit

  • Has anyone tried using the voucher more than once ? On the voucher it says limit to one per household.

  • First time poster long time viewer.

Picked up a 8G SD card and a 16G USB memory stick today and paid $1 cash. Great deal. Lots of catalogues out the front as I walked in at Capalaba too.

My wife is going to try and get something else tomorrow. I don't expect any drama as they only took my name and postcode, not an address.

  • GG Bundall had catalogues out front and no qualms about accepting coupons for complete value of purchase.
I used mine and son used his, they didn't ask for any details at all - 6 packs of coffee pods.
Bought Woolworths Caffitalia machine for $79 (same unit with modified front panel sells at GG for $299) and Bobs your uncle.
Having used the strongest pod (green pack) to make a coffee I think I prefer the woolies (or was it Aldi) pod I tried from nephews woolies machine. Apparently the Aldi pods work in teh woolies pod machine.

Will try another store tomorrow for more coffee pods (before wife gets back from conference) or other stuff.

PS just heard no catalogs at Robina, so think the jig may be up on GC at least

  • Picked up a digital kitchen scale today. Good on the good guys - no hidden conditions. Robina has the catalogs on the counter inside guys.

  • Bugger! Out of desperation I spent $30 on a bread slicing guide the other day. $10 would have been a far more acceptable price.

Knowing our local store, they probably don't have any catalogues at the front of the store.

  • some staff try to make up their own rules. i wonder if you can buy a sim starter pack or recharge voucher for the mobile or 3g modem if they sell them?

  • ie can you get the Vodafone ipad 4gb data sim
Model Number: 362233 for $19.95 using this voucher?

  • Have been quite a few times now… haha todays the last day but I dont think I can go for round 4.

    • Crap. I was going to go tomorrow
