Tiger is having a sale, but the catch is there is much cheaper fares in the search engine than stated on their homepage. fares are about $5 cheaper than stated on the homepage. Amazing prices to Perth.

Tiger Airways Australia is offering the following fares starting at:
MELBOURNE (to/from)
-Adelaide $24
-Canberra $19
-Hobart $19

ADELAIDE (to/from)
-Alice Spings $49
-Canberra $24

-Hobart $34

TRAVEL PERIOD- 1st Feb to 2nd October 2009

-ADD $5 credit card fee per sector per person (cant avoid it though)
-ADD $10 for baggage per sector if you wish for checked luggage, otherwise no charge for 7kgs Carry-on plus free laptop allowance.
Still cheap even with the extra charges.

      www.tigerairways.com.au and use the search engine on the top left. What I meant on a "quick browse" was just having a fast look at fares to get some examples.

      They only accept Mastercard and Visa, nothing else.

    Note also cheap flights Perth-SINGAPORE.
    Lots of tickets for A$128 each way, carry-on only, total. ($42+++)
    +$10 for checked bag.

      Found flights on July 1 and July 16 for $69.

      Found some return for 69 as well in the middle of Aug (18th i think).

    Very good deal for school holidays. Both Easter and July.

    You could also use Jetstar's Double the difference/10% price beat if you wanted to.

    Would highly recommend not getting any flights with tiger air. I am pretty sure they are on the verge of bankruptcy as I have been unable to contact them in Australia or internationally by phone or email to arrange a refund they owe me. Just try ringing their Australian number before you throw away your money.

      Ha! You are "pretty sure" they are broke, based on one person not getting through to their call centre?
      The call centre has always been bad.
      And by some coincidence, the call centre is busy (overloaded) just when they have bargain fares available?
      Who'd have thought?

    Call centre and emails unanswered for over a month. The line isn't even connected anymore. Just a warning, feel free to ignore it and waste your money.
