fantastic and gav123 is the same person? or at least same staff from dailygizmo.com.au ???

    look at this:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/13548/voted

all the votes from user 'fantastic' is for dailygizmo

It's not allowed to self vote on your own company/post and OzBargain have known in banning those 'websites/users' practising this unethical tactic.

Still, a good price, it seems. But do you actually get the cashback when buying from there? I thought only certain retailers were accepted for that?

no u wont be able to
those people who said msy are legible for the 25% cash back from the other post a few days ago are were all just talking rubbish
      they have had no evidence
i called microsoft and asked them if msy is legible and they said no, i called twice both answered no
third time (just in case i was lucky) they said no again, and in fact they said they had a list of authorised resellers including: harvey norman, officeworks, jb hifi, david jones and i can't remember the list, im not a computer xD

So, all in all, no the promotion won't work from there.

  • Thanks che0173
At least I'm not the only one who believes that MSY sell OEM or asian imported "retail" Microsoft products.
A staticice search will show that other retailers with similar prices to MSY are all selling OEM version with retail versions being sold for 25-40% higher at legitimate places.

The first thing I looked for on Dailygizmo's copy is any mention of Microsoft cashback.
The cashback would be a huge selling point and its also how some catalogue prices are being manipulated by after cashback prices being displayed.
No mention of "retail" anywhere by Dailygizme.

    Be very careful.

  • But the problem here, is MSY sometimes deos selling the retail version(not asian) a good example is the Vx7000 Weblife Camera, I bought 5 from them and all have 30% cashback yellow stick on it(which says must be xxxx before 31st Jan 5PM Sydney Time). If microsoft say it is an OEM or import from asian, can I use the boxes as an evidence?

Plus I did get cash back from MS last time when I bought the Microsoft Desktop 1000 wireless which was from MSY, but haven't heard from them this time.

  • I bought this from the Ultimo MSY few weeks ago for only $70 (before cashback from M$). It shows on the receipt that it is just the 7000 wireless mouse so they must have mixed up the barcodes.

  • MSY is selling it for $99. Just bought one from RYDA.com.au for $96.95 (before cashback). Spoke to them and they have recently become an authorised reseller although the MS site doesn't show that http://www.microsoft.com/australia/buyit/retailer/default.ms…

    • That list is seriously out dated. Megamart no longer exists.
