  Well, I would really advise people against getting this model. If your facebook is graphic/picture intensive, you will really see this iPad struggle to cope up with the facebook app. iPad 2 is also laggy when I use my facebook account on it, but its much better. Probably the GPU can't cope with the retina display. Spend a bit more for iPad 4, its worth it.

    Interesting the ipad slow down. I've got an original and it never used to be slow with Internet and apps but now it is, even though some haven't seen an update in ages.

    I'm sure Apple is installing slowdown software :P

    If not for the speed get the latest to make sure you get Apple compatibility with latest updates for longer.

    well its always surprising how people get down voted for honest and true opinions. well, guess they can't suck it up that the 3rd gen is not that good. There is also the heat issue to consider. I own one so I very well know how my iPad performs.

  also get 32gb or 64gb, games file size are big now.
  remember you dont get the whole 16gb 32 or 64, but much less

  Can someone please fill me in on the different models out there. I understand the iPad 2,3,4 but most are advertising iPad retna display?
  I'm looking at getting a 32g as programs are getting bigger and need more processing power. I've got the 32g 1st gen and its getting prett slow so that's the need for an upgrade, other than that I'm happy with it.
  Goods guys are advertising retna display 32g for $649 and I'm sure it would be cheaper for cash. I've also got a lady that I see all the time when I go I store so she might be able to get me an even better deal? Maybe..

    I bought an iPad 4th Gen Wi-Fi 16GB for $498 yesterday. JB Hi-Fi appears to have the lowest price but may be sold out of stock. Most stores are selling it at $539 but you can get Myer to price-match it if you're looking for one.

    someone posted a receipt for JBHIFI the latest model for $468 pricematched to Big W. It was a mistake, but if you show them the receipt they may do it for you anyway
