Seems like there is a minimum points that you need to use for this deal.

  • Have to pay in USD and only accept credit card without Paypal. Unless you have a credit card that doesn't charge you fees for currency conversion you don't really save that much.
Good deal though if you have a credit card in USD.

*The minimum amount of Miles required for this transaction is 1250 Miles.

I got this when trying to switch it to all cash for payment.

You can get to check out and put the promo code but it still says you require:

    US$ 43.20
    1,125 Miles

  • 0 Stores Found for "Accepts Gift Card"!!!! for quite a few westfields in sydney

    • No, that isn't right. I think that's a website interface issue. When I looked at Chatswood Westfield, about 1/3 to 1/2 of the shops accepted it, with the major exception of the supermarkets.

Anyway it's moot, this deal requires Emirates miles.

  • If i cannot use them at the supermarkets then its useless as i hardly ever shop in the malls here.

18,000 miles is just not worth $50… 12500 can get you an upgrade from Economy to Business or Business to First, SYD-AKL.

  • By the way, don't think it's accepted in (big) department stores

These are rubbish. None of the big name stores accept the card so you end up wasting the money on crap you don't need from 'Pots'N'More' and 'T-Dye Warehouse'.

      Agree.

I don't think this is a deal. Better off just spending $50 in a shop where you really want to buy something, rather than redeem miles for a restrictive gift card that can only be used some typically overpriced shops in Westfield centres.

? Target, Big W, DJ's, Kmart, Woolworths, JB, Coles, etc all accept Westfield gift cards.

Check on the Westfield site if you don't believe me.

      • Hmm, show me which Westfield Woolies or Coles accepts Westfield gift cards. Target is an exception to the Coles Group doesn't accept WGC.

        • Also I stand by how bad value it is to redeem Skywards miles for a $50 gift card…

If you were to buy 18,000 miles, it would cost approx US$720. You then redeem that for a lousy $50 Westfield gift card…

If you earn 18,000 miles, you would be much better off redeeming it for a flight upgrade or something else, than a Westfield Gift Card.

        • Just used my westfield card at woolworths the other day, no problem.

This is simply not true for most of those listed. Go to those actual stores and try to use the card if you don't believe me.
