The TDK EB-650s are $2.48 with free delivery too.

  • Cheap for active noise cancelling, but it does not specify anywhere how much % of noise it is able to cancel, which is usually an important metric for comparison. The fact that they don't specify makes me wonder.

  • I actually think these are also pretty good value for $10, because they retail for $32 elsewhere: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/C0806/tdk-noise-cancelling-h… (active noise cancelling on-ear headphone for $10 in-store)

    • Almost no stock in Brisbane & not available for delivery - Click N Collect only

  • Plenty of stock in stores in Brissie.

  • I purchased these in the last deal. Obviously not the best noise cancelling qualities but they do drown out some background noise like the hum of the train ect. people talking and other high pitched noises can still be heard.
I always leave the damn switch on though and they keep going flat :(

  • Active noise cancelling for RRP$32? Probably really bad. I've owned pairs that cost $80 and they are still not as great as proper travelling noise cancelling

its got a really big box as the noise cancelling device so that can be really annoying.

Yeah, it got way too irritating for me. With the AAA inside its just a tad too heavy for me, by heavy I mean you can notice it pulling down.

  • People have to just understand although they are noise cancelling, however don't expect any even the $500 ones to be able to cancel out "variable" sound, e.g. a sound that keeps changing, like a human voice.

They only really cancel out "continuous" sounds, like a Aeroplane Engine.

The more expensive ones does very similar jobs as the cheaper ones in terms of noise cancellation, however they will preserve the music a lot better, and provide better audio quality.

Also almost all noise cancelling headphones/earphones will have the "pressurised" effect, this is a common issue with noise cancellation, even if you attempt to do it on computer with the most sophisticated/professional software. You can NEVER perfectly remove a sound from another audio clip, due to precision and sound frequency mixing.
