  • Could build better(with all peripherals) at slightly cheap if you're so inclined.
EDIT: Oh, except the OS. Seems like a decent deal.

  • +1

I might give this a go, especially with Aldi's 60 day return policy - no questions asked.

I wonder if RAM is upgradeable to 6 or 8 as I have found that to be a bottle neck in the past, anyone know about this machine?

    • depends. Aldi uses whatever is cheap. If they got a deal on 2gig ram chips then this motherboard may only have 2 memory slots and they are full. If they are only using 1 4gig ram then you could just buy a matching 4gig ram 2 fill 2nd slot.

This is no bargain. Not even a dedicated video card. Aldi used to put average sort o graphics cards in these units. Nothing incredibly impressive but certainly much more powerful than on-chip graphics.

      • I understand, there don't seem to be any deals in Bris at the moment. Maybe I'll look at Dell who are always offering me up to 40% off, but probably after putting the price up as much first …

The Inspiron 660s at https://www.dell.com/au/p/popular-desktop-deals for $499 looks similar, apparently that is with $250 off and doesn't include a keyboard or mouse. Doesn't look so good, especially when I then have to start spending more.
