Sorry I dont think they will match it. I check office works site. They dont have p244. They only have p241.

  • In the OW site, they have P244 in the description. That should be rite.

  • Worth noting, same price at Umart.

  • Purchase this Acer Monitor between 18/09/2008 and 31/01/2009 & receive a $49 Cashback via redemption from Acer.

So basically the cashback doesn't apply, which means the description is misleading?

  • So I'm wondering is there any cashback? If there is then this might be a good deal.

edit: So I bought 2 of these this afternoon @ OfficeWorks for A$337.25 each and also printed out the cashback form (which shows validity of the offer till 28 Feb 2009). Just posted off the claims as well! Let's see now how long it takes to get the A$49 back.

    • Great!

But where did you get the forms from?(addy?) I thought they were online claims.

EDIT: All other indications (from other online retailers) also confirmed the 28 Feb date (incl OW instore), so got one from OW for $337.25.

  • The cashback, commencing today until 31 March 09 is actually for $79.

Assuming you get it from OfficeWorks, this brings the price to $258.25.

    A BARGAIN for a 24" 1080p monitor.

    • Hi, where did you get this info? The Acer site does not seem to have any information unless you provide a serial number. Which means I would have to buy one to see how much cashback it offers?

      • I entered the SNID on the Acer site, expecting a $49 cashback offer, but it came up with a $79 offer. I double checked the product number and sure enough, its correct.

        • I found that Officeworks were fairly confusing as MSY quote it as a P244WB when they are both a P244W the B part is just that it's Black MSY claim so they are one in the same

        • Hi, I'd like to ask if you have any proof of this. ie. screencap of the acer page or some sort.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you're lying, I'm very interested in this monitor and would like to make sure of this before I purchase it.

          Thank you.

          • @fufufu: Thats ok. I was surprised too.

Will a copy of the email confirmation do?

  • I would like to buy this monitor but I have no idea if it would work with my computer. my computer is like 6 years old and I don't know what kind of video card it has. Can sone1 please let me know what I need to do to find out if it would work on my comoputer thanks

    • It has a standard monitor input also so will work with any computer

    • You would need to find out what video card you have and what maximum resolution it supports. Either way the monitor will display whatever your card can do, but unless you can do 1920 x 1080 then you arent getting the most from the monitor. Unless you plan to upgrade…

The monitor itself has a VGA (15 Pin) input as well as 2 x HDMI inputs.

      • The only downfall that I have found on this monitor is that it has no speakers built in like many others have

        • the only downside in this is that the monitor doesnt support 5.1 surround sound…. meaning that i can only play 2.1 for my ps3 :(
meh still good price and overall picture is good
btw to find out wat graphics card you have download a free software called GPU-z, it should tell you what gfx card you have, then google that gfx card to find the max resolution

  • Hey there… when I posted this it was in fact $49 cash back. However for those of you who were lucky to purchase it after January, the cashback offer was in fact increased to $79.

The website asks for the serial number and then it asks you for the date of purchase. If you put the date of purchase as February 2009, then it will complete a $79 cashback (but of course your receipt needs to also have this date on it.

Its a 24 inch screen for under $260 what can you possibly complain about??

A lot of you have asked about the "PROOF"

below is the link :) enjoy

    • Thanks for clarifying it. But I'd like to point out that your link does not work or at least does not state any where that it's $79 cashback.

EDIT: NVM, you simply click on "Find" without a SNID and it'll show all the avgailable cashback. Sorry.

  • 9298.com.au have it advertised until 13/02/09 for $329 see recent post…
