Your neg is baseless and pointless.

        1. Android and iOS sandbox their apps.
        2. Android and iOS are both walled in, with iOS's walls a tad taller. And if a malware though the wall, Google has the ability to remotely remove the offending app.
        3. If you haven't heard, iOS have remote wiping/locking built in, Android have a number of free apps.

So what protection can a sandboxed app offer?

        • Point 2 of android remotely removing it is only present in JB as far as I'm aware. As for android, you can still get malicious stuff if you sideload apps downloaded from the net etc.

It is true there are a number of free if not better apps, but by no means does that mean this deal is a scam. It is there if you want it. Invalid neg.

Or how about the fact there no where does it mention its actually just a 12 month subscription?

Or how about that they are marketing a security suite for iOS, when it doesn't actually do anything beyond iOS built in functions?

  • 1 year subscription and not perpetual license, I assume ? http://au.norton.com/norton-mobile-security/

Would this slow down the phone as it does to a computer?

I would really like to know how most of the features even work on iOS. Considering the restrictions in the operating system on applications accessing anything outside their own sandbox, I really can't see how this would work.

Not to mention the vast majority of "features" are available in the OS itself if you activate them.

  • Instead of getting signed up to Norton's subscription, better option is to download a free antivirus app for your phone/tablet which actually out performs most of the paid apps. http://securitywatch.pcmag.com/security-software/294976-av-t…

  • Is there any limit on how many people are allowed to claim? Or if I purchase am I guaranteed the rebate?
