    ATV3 - no jailbreak yet nor perhaps ever
    OP, please amend title to make reference to Apple TV3, as that is the model that is currently available at retailers like HN. Yes, even Apple Store calls it "Apple TV", but Apple don't have a great track record with credible names for Generation + n.

      If you already have a recent (generally mid-2011 onwards) MacBook Pro (early 2011), iMac, Mac Mini, or MacBook Air (NOT Mac Pro) and a wired or wireless home network, you can use Airplay Mirroring to an Apple TV 3. Would save you more than $150.

    Maybe not the cheapest deal compared to past deals - as far as I can see - if you don't want to risk a refurbished unit (http://store.apple.com/au/product/FD199X/A/refurbished-apple…) this is the best deal out there at the moment for a current (you can't JB it) Apple TV.
