Further product details:

What is whey protein isolate?

Whey protein isolate (WPI) is the purest form of whey protein powder available. It is derived from cow’s milk and is essential for muscle repair, growth and strength. In contrast to whey protein concentrate, WPI has a much higher pure protein content of over 90%. WPI also contains little to no fat, lactose or cholesterol.

Why take WPI?

Protein is used for the production of muscles. Proteins are also used to manufacture hormones, enzymes, cellular messengers, nucleic acids, and immune-system components. Without adequate protein, our bodies cannot put together the structures that make up every cell, tissue, and organ, nor can it generate the biochemical substances needed for cardiovascular function, muscle contraction, growth, and healing. Without an adequate amount of protein our muscles would not heal up as quickly and could therefore lead to overtraining your muscle which could lead to injury.

When do I take WPI?

Also, after a workout is one of the best time to get protein into the body so that the protein can be delivered to your muscles, to begin healing the micro tears (very small tears in the muscle tissue, caused by intense contraction of the muscle during workout) in the muscle. Post-workout, WPI should be taken as it is absorbed rapidly, so that the synergistic insulin response is maximised – this allows muscle breakdown to diminish so that synthesis can dominate and you can get quickly back into building muscle the next day.

Benefits of having a whey protein shake

Because solid food takes more time to digest and to break down the protein and send it to the muscles, it can be best to take a protein shake immediately following a workout. Protein, through liquid nutrition (your shake) is more rapidly digested and absorbed, thus nutrients are more rapidly delivered to your muscles.

Other benefits of No Bull Supplements’ WPI
• Our WPI is sourced from the USA, one of a few manufacturers in the world that supply WPI at 93g of protein per 100g (dry-basis). Thus, the protein content in our whey protein isolate is superior to all the major brands. We focus on delivering simply pure whey protein
• Our whey protein isolate is a low temperature cross and ultra filtered WPI which remains completely undenatured.

  • Another good flavour is organic vanilla powder, you only need a little bit. That plus a banana & blueberry makes an awesome tasting shake with natural ingredients, and good amount of carbs.

    • From someone that is finishing up an order of 20kg from bulk nutrients, I can vouch that no matter what you put in (short of artificial flavour), that damn off milky taste remains. Like the idea of vanilla powder. Also eggs seem to work too.

These days I just settle for flavoured for two reasons:
You end up adding shit to cancel the 'natural' flavour
And flavoured keeps me motivated to drink it every day\on the fly I.e. work.

Plus the small amount of flavour in a protein shake is the least of your worries if you are trying to keep healthy. Natural protein. But you smash a coke or a choc bar or a soft drink etc.

And hence, natural protein on sale

      • Agreed. Natural="tasts like ass".

      • I don't mind the natural taste, I'm sure ass tastes worse :)

  • Just in time as my protein is running out, plus was thinking about buying to try bake protein bars from them…. Flavoured liquid Stevia?!?!?! Fantastic!!!!

  • How come your flavoured WPI has more flavours than your WPC?

Not such a good deal if you want something flavoured - 5kg + stevia is more expensive than just buying the flavoured versions anyway!

    • +1

From the OP - "If flavouring is a must, but you're also wanting to avoid artificial flavouring/sucralose, we also sell flavoured liquid stevia"

The Stevia flavouring is not the same thing as is in the flavoured versions … I think ;)

      • Still, seems a bit crazy even if you're right.

      • +3

That's right… it wouldn't be fair to compare the price of stevia flavoured whey with that of sucralose flavoured whey as they're two very different products.

    • Also the Stevia, if only using 5 drops/1 serve, per scoop/40g of protein powder, will last for nigh on 15kg.

That aside, I can certainly vouch for their flavoured WPI, never clumps and the flavour is not overpowering. Choc, Vanilla and Choc-Honeycomb are my favourites. I recently tried Venom Protein, what a mistake and I bought 4kg of the crap. It is very variable in whether it dissolves or clumps, the flavours are very average at best and doesn't work as well with my oats in the morning or my various smoothie/thickshake recipes. No Bull Supplements with simply water is far superior! I'll stick with what I know works and at a great price and that's No Bull Supplements' WPI; however I know each to their own, Venom might work for others but for my purposes/recipes a big NO.

      • -2

Have you tried any other powders? BNRG? Musashi? Are there any bad things about 'No bull' proteins? By giving such a glowing reference you sound like a rep!

        • +2

LMAO Gee, a rep huh…um no, just a stay at home Mum of two kids on family leave from being a primary school teacher.

I've tried many supplements, I'm a long distance runner, Musashi, BN, Aussie Bodies, BSc…I prefer NBS.

Maybe I should ask NBS for payment if I am so glowing…LOL

        • I've been taking WPC from these guys for over a year … probably more like 2 years (time flies), and have never had a problem. They are legit.

I switched from Musashi, purely for cost reasons.

        • +1

Maybe you should if you get members down your running group/club to also buy it because of your glowing reviews. If you got ten+ coming to buy the product regularly and they told the seller it's because of you then I think it's fair you should get some cash or at least discount/free powder. I am also a long distance runner training so I'm looking for a decent powder. I wasn't suggesting any impropriety that you were a plant, or actual rep, I just wondered there was any downside relative to any other brands besides Venom. Your reference seemed like something a supplement site would place in their testimonials. I ordered Beta Alanine from Venom and it was labelled TriCreatine in the nutritional information whilst the package read BA in the title. So I am also wary of purchasing from them so in no way am I defending Venom. Right now I'm taking Simply Protein (Pea Protein Isolate)

  • +1

I bought some of this to mix in my fruit and green smoothies. It's great, can't taste at all. if that is what you are after the unflavored for

  • +9

I've actually never heard of you guys but I really like what you're promising. I agree that most of us end up paying a lot more than we should for advertising, endorsements, etc. You've got a really nice selections of products and are competitively priced.

That said, buying from the larger companies that have been around for a while (forgive me if I sound naive) gives me a little bit more peace of mind since the product and its manufacturing practices have been certified by the appropriate bodies (FDA/NSF/cGMP certifications to name a few).

I want to believe that you are selling high quality supplements, but can you please tell us more about the source of your hydrolysed whey protein isolate powder for example? If it is manufactured offshore, then their manufacturing standards would vary, and which authority keeps them in check to adhere to quality standards and regulations? Does your product have to pass local Australian standards too?

Also, I noticed that you don't have an amino acid panel for your protein powders. Why is this?

I know I'm probably asking for a lot of info but knowing more would help people to trust in your brand. Thanks for reading!

Those are fair and valid concerns ihavok. Just briefly about our company - we've operated for just under 2 years now. We aren't a garage reseller like a lot of other 'businesses' that sell online or through eBay. All our products are stored and dispatched from a TGA approved warehouse and manufactured under both NSW Food Authority standards (the most stringent guidelines in the country!) and HACCP approved conditions. Our prices are great because we don't have shopfronts, sell to distributors or spend exorbitant amounts on sponsoring athletes or bodybuilding shows. We have a simple philosophy - purchase direct from manufacturers, blend to suit requirements, package and sell directly to our customers. In terms of the whey protein powders, whey protein isn't manufactured locally. We purchase directly from global suppliers (located in NZ and the USA). They supply the big names in the industry (do a search on Glanbia, a leading USA supplier, and you'll realise that they acquired Optimum Nutrition in 2008!). Regarding nutritional analysis, we're actually in the process of revamping our website. Our new website will state the nutritional profile to include amino-acid profile. The amino-acid profile of our WPI can be read here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/604cg8w4doo3z0k/AMINO%20ACID%20PRO…

      • Thank you for your response. I will give you guys a go ;)

  • Do the flavoured WPI for this price and I'd buy… many… ?

  • just bought 5. how long does it take for delivery on average?

    • Thanks for your order lplau! We ship all our orders using Australia Post eParcel. Sydney, Melbourne, ACT ETA 1-3 business days. All other states, 3-6 business days.

  • Looking at the picture it says chocolate at the bottom right is that an error?

    • Please disregard that :)

  • Are there any further discounts for buying 5kgs?

    • No further discounts as we only package in 1kg bags. If for example you order 5kg, you'll receive 5x1kg bags.

  • +1

Interesting, this would mean savoury shakes are a possibility.

  • -8

Hey rep, PaulsBullDogs on ebay does 6kgs of WPI for AU$110 delivered. Works out to $18.33 per kg http://stores.ebay.com.au/Paulsbulldogs . Can you do any better deal?

    • +3

That's actually the auction price with 0 bids. The buy-now price is $160!

      • -4

Yeah.. and there will be 1 bid for $110 when the auction ends. The item regularly sells for $110.

      • -4

As far as I can tell, your equivalent price for 6kgs would be ($25*6)+$9.95 = ~$160. So it's $50 bucks more than I can get it from PaulsbullDogs. I'm giving this deal a negative unless you can match or better that, or give some indication that your WPI is superior.

        • +3

I don't think it's fair to neg the deal based on an ebay auction price.

        • +1

Did you not read what I wrote? Look at the finished items and you'll see that 6kgs WPI from PaulsbullDogs sells regularly for $110.

Hype this deal as much as you like but it gets a negative from me since it's $50 cheaper ($110 vs $160) buying 6kgs of WPI from PaulsbullDogs. That's a BIG difference in price. This is after all ozbargain.

May I suggest the rep give a better bulk order price? 5kgs, 6kgs, 10kgs, etc.

        • +2

Bulk order promotions is something we'll consider ruraro. For now, this is a promotion for a 1kg product. The closest to that order size Paulsbulldogs offers is 2kg at a buy-now price of $60.

        • +3

Silly boy doesnt understand bulk purchase vs singular purchases…

nvm - no point debating when ones comparing apple with oranges

  • FYI, their choc mint flavour one is the best tasting shake i've tried. Thier rich choc is not far behind.
    Mixability - great
Would buy it but got plenty of protein right now. Need some specials later on, on 5kg bags.
To be honest, the ones I am having now I don't like as much as the No Bull ones.

    Venom is also good

    • Choc honeycomb is my favourite

    • Try Choc honeycomb and coconut as well!

  • +1 for NoBull products as well. I have been using flavoured WPI and creatine from these guys. The protein powder blends very well in a shaker, the best I have used with no clumping or anything like that (previously used Optimum Nutrition Gold Std) and the Choc and Choc-Honeycomb flavours are awesome.

  • Any word on shakers you had coming, or having all your WPI flavours available in WPC as well? Been waiting on this until I make an order.

    • Shakers SHOULD be in by Friday (they're in transit at the moment so it'll come down to customs)! As for an expansion on WPC flavours, that's something we're looking at introducing within 2-3 months.

      • Thanks, will sort out what i'm going to do in the mean time then until you get more WPC flavours.

  • +1

Is there any chance of you guys stocking powdered oats in the future?

  • hey rep, my recent shipment of wpi came with one packet perforated and the packing box full of spilled powder which smells bad. can you help me out?

    • Yes, definitely! We haven't received any email from a customer about this. Can you please contact admin on [email protected].

  • Hi just a quick ques whats is the difference between the WHEY & other protein Supplement?Last night I have ordered GIANT SPORTS DELICIOUS PROTEIN from http://www.bodybuildpro.com/store/giant-sports-delicious-pro… for $79.90(2.27KG) is this different from the above.

    • That's a blend of different proteins, not a pure WPI. Per 100g, the product you mentioned has only 75g protein.

  • i like my milk shake and its time for a new bag!

  • I love this protein. They mix very well, and taste very nice (except for mint choc, which is way too overpowering - and I usually love mint).

Where has your loyalty program gone? I was past halfway to the bronze.

  • -6

for the average joe, spending the extra money on wpi instead of wpc is useless

    • +2

not a reason to neg. this is a good deal and WPI still serves its purposes. WPI is good post workout to speed up absorption. if you just want a general protein for other times then yes WPC is a better choice for value/purpose

  • Looks great! It looks like the whey protein isolate you guys use are obtained from ion exchange rather than microfiltration, latter of which are cheaper and have higher lactose content.

  • +2

in term of price it's not really a bargain, I normally purchase my protein fix from reliable ebay seller, this is like regular price.

    • Just wondering Jugg.Judy, who do you buy from on eBay?

  • +6

seeing as majority of you guys are not bodybuilders, the extremely insignificant rate of absorption between the two will make no difference except for the thickness of your wallet. i am assuming that the average joe is also seeing this deal as motivation to get into the gym, so actually focussing on macronutrient values and not sources of protein would make a more significant improvement to their muscle building goals. unless you are lactose intolerant or a bodybuilder wpi is such a waste of money. why by WPI when you can buy 5kg of WPC from bulk nutrients for 110?
EDIT: $110 refers to 5kg of flavoured WPC

    • +1

I'm not saying only buy WPI or WPC, but even if you are a competitive bodybuilder worrying about apparent absorption times is foolish.

    • +4

This is a good deal for me. Lactose intolerant. I can have wpc but I'll drop protein farts and maybe a skid mark too.

    • +1

FYI we also sell 5kg of unflavoured WPC for $85, 5kg of flavoured WPC for $105 (or $100 if you purchase 5kg unflavoured + add $15 stevia flavouring).

      • does the stevia flavouring taste the same as the flavoured WPI?

  • +6

Their protein is good, but don't buy their beef jerky. I ordered several packs and one was covered in mold upon arrival. I sent them pictures of the product and requested if they would credit the price of that individual packet of jerky to my account for my next purchase, but they basically told me to sod off and that it was my fault that the jerky got moldy because I must have left the package open or out in the sun. As a consumer, I felt insulted and although I was only out of packet a few dollars for the packet of jerky I will never buy from this company again.

    • Agree, the Jerky/biltong is average at best. Should just stick to the supps if you ask me.

      • Agree as well, their WPC and WPI (for the flavour) is outstanding but beef jerky was meh… I order my jerky from micksjerky.com instead

  • Nobull has been great to me! I've bought the WPI flavoured before and it tasted amazing and blended perfectly. I can't afford that any more so I get unflavoured WPC, tastes terrible with milk but hey it's a LOT cheaper.

I've also bought beef jerky from them, it takes some getting used to but it's quite good.

    I highly recommend NBS.

  • Hey guys, I'm gonna buy some samples to try… Looks like choc mint is good, any other flavours you recommend?

  • Would be interested in a pure NZ WPI

  • Would be interested in a pure NZ WPI

  • +1

so $35 for unflavored protein? u can keep it!

  • Great prices, though I couldn't resist getting flavoured protein.

  • Hi REP, as this is sourced from the US how does it comply with the asada testing standards as that will be a issue for me

    cheers

    • All our supplements are drug-free

  • I am just a new person in the field of gym. Is this is a good value for money product? and does it have a good amount of protien? Are those the main factors I should consider as a beginner in building muscles?

Is buying from overseas a cheaper alternative?

If i do end up buying, is the non-flavoured one any good, or should i stick with flavour for ease of consumption?

    Cheers.

    • ~ delete : found guidelines about ebay deal posting

If you buy this then your pretty much pissing your money down the toilet.

If your not eating a good healthy diet to begin with then you aint gonna lift shit.

    • Does WPI have a decent amount of… protein?

      uh.

  • +2

Banana flavour is a Must! Smells like a banana paddle pop

    • Banana is my favourite of the WPC flavours (but they're more limited than WPC flavours)!

Reminds me of those banana lollies ;)

      • I love banana flavour… as long as its got "no" actual banana… I'm now allergic :_(

  • Why is the nutritional content here the same as flavoured? I assume this is flavoured content. My Musashi (choc flav) has around the same calorie content. Can you share the Natural nutritional content?

  • I've been consuming protein from these guys regularly since the beginning of the year when I decided to do something about my weight. I vouch for an affordable good tasting and easily mixable protein.

  • +1

For 34.95 this wouldn't qualify as a deal for me eihter. Venom all the way for -14.95 - Concentrate, Flavoured, Plus shaker bottle as on the house.

Caramel, Coffee are my two faves, why pay more. Ch10 gave me 4x1 for just 80.oo tot

  • recieved my order in 2 days. great service. found out that it doesn't include scoops. is this normal? how many tablespoons would equal 1.33 scoops?

    • You sure it's not just buried in the powder? All my WPC packets from them have always had scoops …

      • defninitely no scoops :<

    • Just work out how many grams of protein you want and go from there. It's not that hard.
