10% Cashback (up to US$150 / ~A$233) with Bybit MasterCard + US$10 New User Bonus @ Bybit

900
🚨 VERY IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE YOU START! 🚨

✅ Write down your referral code when signing up—you’ll need it again when applying for the MasterCard and possibly for future promotions.

✅ Referrer: Do not participate in the referral system unless you have successfully applied for a Bybit MasterCard. If someone uses your code before you have a card, neither of you will receive the referral reward.

✅ Do NOT deposit funds until your MasterCard application is approved! Otherwise, you won’t be considered a new customer and the 10% cashback cap will be US$75 instead of US$150.

✅ If you’re creating multiple accounts within a household, use the referral randomiser below for all accounts. Do NOT refer anyone by yourself in the same household, as Bybit’s risk control system may void bonuses, cashback, and other benefits.

✅ I’m sharing this to help you maximize rewards, but if you decide to invest, please do your own risk assessment. ⚠️

📝 Steps to Apply & Earn Cashback
1️⃣ Get a Referral Link

Click the Bybit MasterCard referral randomiser (the SECOND one, not the first Bybit Australia New User Sign-Up). Then, message OzBargainers to receive a referral link to sign up for a Bybit account.

2️⃣ Verify Your Identity (KYC)

Complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification—typically approved within minutes. For an Australian MasterCard, Level 1 verification is enough if you don’t need a physical card.

3️⃣ Apply for Your MasterCard

Use the SAME referral code from Step 1 when applying for the card. Approval usually takes minutes, but if your name matches a well-known person or politician, it may take up to 7 days.

4️⃣ Fund Your Account and Activate 10% Offer

Once your card is approved, claim $20 Spot Fee Saver from Rewards Hub, deposit/purchase at least $100 USD funds via bank transfer, P2P trading, other exchanges, or crypto wallets. You can then add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Trade any spot say Bitcoin for at least $100 USD, negligible risk if you buy and sell instantly, the fee saver will cover all fees.

5️⃣ Enjoy Your Cashback 💰

Use your Bybit MasterCard to earn 10% cashback, capped at US$150, for eligible transactions within 30 days. Check the Merchant Category Codes (MCC) listed at https://www.bybitglobal.com/en/promo/campaign/Card-New-Signu….

6️⃣ Explore Additional Bonuses

New users can easily earn US$50+ in extra rewards from deposit and trading promotions—worth checking out!

✨ Pro Tips for Maximizing Benefits

✅ Check MCC Categories: Find eligible cashback merchants at the OzBargain MCC Wiki. For example: ShopBack runs 100% cashback giveaways, meaning you get 100% + 10% cashback!

✅ Referral Links & Welcome Rewards: Each referral link may offer varying amounts of welcome rewards—from $5K to $30K. Check with referrer from the randomiser above. The differences apply to deposit and trading rewards, but MasterCard rewards remain the same across all links.

✅ Trade at least $100 will make you eligible for airdrop rewards, buy and sell instantly with Spot Fee Saver. The risk is negligible but airdrop is pretty cool. Last time I received US$630 airdrops.

✅ If you don’t have crypto assets yet, you can try to purchase USDC on Coinbase with no fees if you PayID or bank transfer. Then transfer to Bybit for activation, spending and trading etc.

✅ Cashback After the US$150 Cap: After reaching the 10% cashback limit, you can still earn 2%-10% cashback based on your Bybit user level.

✅ The good places I know where 10% cashback is available: Most of Shopback Gift Cards, Amazon and eBay (some categories), Bunnings, Officeworks, IKEA, David Jones, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Booking.com, Trip.com, Anytime Fitness, DoorDash, Uber, 7-Eleven, Ampol, Myki, Opal, and etc.

  • thanks mate. best deal in a while.

  • Pretty pain free process

  • Can I sign up now but only start to make the purchases from Jun 1?

    • +1

You can sign up and wait, but don’t deposit funds, don’t apply for a card. Also, there is a chance the deal ends. Last round the cap was 300 USD and for almost all categories, ended in March. Not sure when will this round end. I’d say the sooner the better.

  • Does this 10% cashback work at Banana Baby, Baby Kingdom, Baby Bunting?
    Thank you

    • Ask them about their Merchant Category Code, or if you have bought items with them before, check with your bank about the MCC. Then you’ll know if they are covered in this promotion.

  • -2

Can the Bybit Mastercard be used to pay Ergon Energy power bills, council water and rate bills, school fees and ATO while earning 10% cashback?

  • I am unable to deposit 100. I am getting "You're currently restricted from accesssing Fiat and Card Services". Did i did something wrong.

    • You probably used ID from restricted areas? Then you can deposit crypto assets from other exchanges say Coinbase

      • +2

It was the issues with credit card looks like it does not accept credit card from Google Pay.
I used different debit card and my transaction got declined then tried to use payment through card instead of google pay. It is asking for 4 more verification due to previous decline. I gave up now, not worth it.

  • Does the new user referral have to be the same as the mastercard referral code? I’ve already registered the as new user before Mastercard referral.

  • What's the best way to minimise deposit fees? fair amount of fees having to deposit ~$2000 AUD

    • +4

The best way to deposit is to use another exchange that has no fees for depositing AUD but there are a few more steps involved. After depositing you need to spot trade/convert the AUD for USDC, then withdraw it directly to Bybit using a low fee network like Arbitrum, Optimism or Aptos. Here is a comparison I did from earlier today for a few popular exchanges where I grabbed all rates at the same time

      Kraken OKX Coinbase Bybit (GPay)
      Deposit (AUD) 100 100 100 100
      AUD-USD Rate 1.5522 1.556 1.5527 1.618
      Trading Fee (USD) 0.13 0.32 0 0
      Converted USD 64.30 63.95 64.40 61.80
      Withdrawal to Bybit Fee (USD) 0.66 0.098 0 0
      Final Received (USD) $63.64 $63.85 $64.40 $61.80

Coinbase appears to be the best. OKX being fine for smaller amounts, Kraken better for larger amounts and Bybit obviously the worst.

      • The card appears to give a slightly better rate for USDT compared to USDC, maybe 0.25% better. If you have free spot trading vouchers and want to maximise value you might be able to trade the USDC for USDT after it arrives in Bybit

        • Doesn't everyone get free spot trading vouchers?

          • +1

@Moo Deng: Yes but they expire quickly so you won’t have them for long. USDC/
USDT appears to have no fees anyway

        • What are you basing that on? I'm new to Bybit/slightly new to crypto but the Available Balance on the Card screen looks the same whether I have USDT or USDC

          • @aaron3: If you spend USDT it gets converted at 0.9861, USDC gets converted at 0.9835

  • Just a debit card right? No credit checks?

    • +1

      No credit check

  • I forgot to write down the referral code. How can I retrieve it?

    • It is inside the link (at the end) you used. would be in the ozb. messages if you found someone from here?
Otherwise check browser history for the referral code used

      • Thank you for that. Another issue is that I used the first referral system. According to some comments, some people participate in the referral system before their Mastercards are approved. May I use a different referral code for the Mastercard activation?

        • yes you can , or you can ask the ozb member to confirm if they have mastercard

  • When did you guys receive the cashback? My transaction confirmed yesterday but can't see any cashback yet. Did get a notification saying the estimated amount of cashback I would earn though.

    • +2

It says 3 days after transaction is confirmed

      • We don't have to turn on auto cashback yea to get it? Auto cashback is to convert rewards points? Thanks

        • +1

I am just accumulating points without auto cashback to convert to $25 bonus cards

          • @pennypacker42069: Do you know if I turn off auto cashback and started to accumulate points now but then later on I change my mind and turn on auto cashback, will my accumulated points still be converted to cashback, or only newly accumulated points will be converted to cashback?

    • Did you get your cash back?

      • I got rewards points for my first couple of purchases after 4 days.

  • so what’s everyone buying other than shopback gift card? it seems impossible to use up the entire cashback amount

  • Sorry for the dumb question. But your response will save me.

    I followed upto STEP 3.

    1. I’m planning to deposit money using ING debit card. Or is there any way we can minimise transaction fees.

    2. Once we deposit in to account, can I straightaway go to officeworks and purchase using the associated Mastercard? (No need to do any further moves inside ad?)

    Thanks in advance.

    • You can buy USDC from Coinbase, no fees. Then transfer to Bybit. Then you can spend.

  • I've signed up a couple of days ago and my Deposit > $100 reward got revoked. Did anyone get this problem? I raised this with support but they said they will get back to me in 5-7 days time.

Also, I bought $100 AUD worth of Amazon GC via Shopback but I am only seeing 2% cashback and not the 10% cashback even though in the app I can see the promotion active (unless it is something generic). I did follow all the instructions from this deal.

    • Probably triggered their risk control system. What’s the MCC for Amazon GC transaction?

      • They got back to me and it looks like they think I'm doing something dodgy. What a waste of time.

        Dear Trader,

Thank you for contacting Bybit Customer Support.
After careful review, we have concluded that your account has violated our campaign rules and regulations. As a result, we must decline your request to obtain any rewards or participation in the event.

Your eligibility has been restricted due to, but not limited to, the following reasons:

Registering multiple accounts with different identities.
Your account is currently under trading and/or withdrawal restrictions.
Engaging in dishonest behavior or cheating activities not explicitly mentioned above, which violate our rules and compromise the event's fairness.
Despite these restrictions, your withdrawal and account login access remain unaffected. For more details, please consult our Rewards Terms and Conditions.

This decision is final, and we will not consider any further appeals on this matter.

We require your prompt adherence to the restrictions.

        • I got the same reply and they did not say what trigger this. I am not sure what caused this since I have never opened any Bybit account before.

  • +1

There are a bunch of other promos available on Bybit but it’s an extremely annoying website. So many strange rules about the order you have to do things with very little clear information available

Eg they have a staking promo if you deposit 100-300 USDT as your first deposit and immediately stake it you will get about 10-15 USDT. But if you make multiple small deposits or deposit USDC and convert it to USDT you get nothing.

    • Yes, this sucks
I missed this, they hide it at the bottom

    • @pennypacker is that the same promo as this?

      New Users Zone
      Rules
Stake ≥ 100 USDT on Savings
      +300% +10 Day(s)
      APR Booster ¡ Earn
Stake ≥ 100 USDT on Savings + Enjoy 555% APR

Then when I click into it, anything above 4% says sold out

      • The +300% 10 day promo is separate and should still be accessible. There is a 555% 2 day promo but I wasn’t allowed because I had made multiple smaller deposits

  • Trying to fund the account with Google Pay UBank debit card but getting "Transaction Declined" error message.

  • Which MCC do Shopback gift cards fall under?

  • Any ideas if this MCC is eligible for 10% cashback?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/907568

    • +2

Giftz uses 5947 and 6012 as per the MCC list. Neither of these are listed as eligible in the Bybit page, so likely no.

  • Does anyone know if you can turn off auto cashback and instead use your reward points from cashback to get a better conversion rate e.g. $25 USD Card Bonus for 10000 points instead of 12500?

    • +1

      Yes you can

    • +2

      Actually that seems good idea

By default auto cash back rate seems to be 1 Point = 0.002 USD

      For the $25 USD card bonus, 10000 point = $25, so 1 point = 0.0025 USD

If you leave it auto, 10000 point should only get you $20 USD

      • Yeah that's what I was thinking, plus it says you can do unlimited redemptions.

      • Have you redeemed? It seems to have 1 month expiry.

  • Cashback eligible for Hotels?

  • man, why is everything to do with crypto so convoluted.

  • Just bought bunnings gc off shopback and only got 1% CB, thought everything is minimum 2% and the mcc shopback page says department store :(

    • What did the MCC track as?

      • 5712 furniture

        • +1

Shopback occasionally changes the MCC on their gift cards and I can also confirm Bunnings is 5712 now. I've updated the wiki.
Unfortunately 5712 is not included the promotion

  • Worth noting that all transactions are charged a 1% foreign fee (unless I'm doing something wrong and there's a way around this..)

    • The total cost for AUD purchases is close to 3% once you factor in the spread and fees

  • Still waiting for my MC to be approved. How long does it take?

    • It was instant when i did mine
Did you get verified to vip1?

      • Standard
        Proof of IdentityLv.1
        Identity Assessment
        Advanced
        Proof of AddressLv.2

    • +2

Same as me. Been 3 days now

      • I'm still waiting. Created ticket that said wait 7 business days

  • Anyone else have a number of rewards stuck on pending? I’m assuming the green tick means I’ve qualified for the reward?

    • Yes click to view the reward details should show estimated time for verification

      • Thanks. Dunno how I missed that!

  • Is $25 usd card bonus points redemption the best way to redeem the cashback?

    • +1

I believe it's the best value but it's not withdraw-able, it can only be used to offset future transactions.

      • Hey, do you know if you offset a future transaction, can you still earn cashback on the amount offsetted?

    • Where did you see the $25 USD card bonus? Could you please share the screenshot? Thanks

      • Go to card > Points button under available balance. Deselect auto cashback if you want some other reward from the list.

      • In the app, Wallet, points

  • +1

This company is really hopeless - it’s been 4 business days and my card application is still under review. I mean come on it’s a debit card not a credit card ?!

    • Did it get approved eventually?

      • Nope still waiting and this is the 9th day. It’s a darn debit card

        • +1

I got approved today after 2 weeks

    • This MCC is not in the list though, is your 10% cashback confirmed?

      • I just double check
they showed me Fiat usd in bonus as per the amount i paid

        Equity (bonus inclusive)
        Available balance 0
        Amount frozen 305 usd

        Am i over excited

        • Probably, i had a balance of about $30 frozen in usd fiat and it vanished after about 2 days. I think the 10% cashback only comes from the reward points that are converted into usdt

        • It seems to me that, it’s part of the payment process behind the scenes: when you tap your card, Bybit convert your crypto into USD (fiat), which you saw, as authentication. And once the transaction is finalized, the frozen USD removed from your account.

  • +1

When I request for referral links people are sending me links that look like this

    https://www.bybit.com/fiat/cards?source=referral&campaignId=… number>&ref=<REFERRALCODE>

    and

    https://partner.bybit.com/b/<REFERRALCODE>

I don't know which is the correct one.

  • @WookieMonster Does buying gift card from RACV Woolworths discounted portal qualify you for 10% discount?

    • +1

      Or from Bupa Life Rewards?

    • +2

      I doubt it.

      • If you purchase using the Credit or Debit Card option, it should be MCC 5399.
      • If you purchase using the PayPal option, it should be MCC 5818.

Neither appear to be eligible for this deal.

I have no idea about Bupa Life Rewards, because I do not have access to it, plus I have not seen any comments from anyone on its MCC.

Having said that, there is a very good chance you cannot even use this Mastercard on Bupa Life Rewards, because that gift card portal is operated by EonX, which are the same folks who operate the Cashrewards gift card portal (and previously operated the AAMI Lucky Club gift card portal and the Suncorp Rewards gift card portal). Those three other portals reject any cards reported by Mastercard or Visa as prepaid cards. The Bybit Cardholder Terms and Conditions and the Bybit Mastercard PDS both state that Mastercard is a prepaid reloadable Mastercard, so I would expect Mastercard to report this to EonX as such.

      • +1

        Thanks mate, appreciate it

  • Any issues doing a small transfer like USD300 to test the process before doing larger ones?

  • Perhaps as a warning with lower value gift cards:
I bought some gift cards via shopback, now shopback started declining the card. (I still have +- $1000 USD on the card.)
Probably too many transactions over the weekend (should've avoided the smaller giveaways).

    • Thanks for the warning! How many did you buy? Or how many transactions did you make?

      • 15 gift cards, but some were 2 in one go, so 10 transactions.

  • +1

Got this card at the end of my travels, but still managed to spend on hotels (7011), rideshare apps (4121), restaurants and cafes (5812), tours (4722) like Klook (paid in USD) and Discover Qatar, and of course, duty-free (5309).

    • +1

Hey mate, just wondering when you paid in USD did you still have to pay the 1% foreign fee?

      • +2

        Nope.
