      Buy the generic toners off ebay for $30 odd.

      Bought the non duplex model few years ago. Still going strong. Awesome printer.

    If you're in Perth, you can pick up a Samsung laser for $67 from PLE. Got one of these a couple of years ago and it works great.

    Cost of the Toner should be consider..
    Just wanna print some books to Grandma, she don't like ipad :(
    Because it is hard to open the book's app and roll !!

    for this printer you cannot compare prices to any other store since it is exclusive to officeworks
    kabigon is right. the 2240d is exactly the same and can get for cheaper else where

    My HL-2140 is 3 years old and has 10,000 page count, it is still going. Toner can be bought off eBay

    aren't some brother and samsung laser printers < $50? i remember i scored some samsung ml-2164 laser printers for $19.50 at a harvey norman sale earlier this year.

    You can save a bundle by getting the non-auto-duplex Brother HL-2130 for $44. It comes with a 750-page starter cart, compared to this 500-page one. You just have to do two-sided printing manually (take the printed paper out and put it back in the tray).

        Sure, cheapo toner ranges from $18-$21 delivered on ebay.
        Genuine toner is $44 delivered.

        hottoner sells high-yield carts, they rate them at 2,600 pages instead of 1,000 pages.

          unless you are studying fashion design or something its not worth getting a coloured one. my lecturers know its a waste of money printing in colour and doesnt favour those who who does

      Remember to use "WELCOME5" and get another $5 off. So it will be $39. It was even cheaper before with their other sale a few months ago but its the best you can do atm.

    I got the fuji one from officeworks.. about $30. Easy to remove jams. Toner was on clearance at the time at msy. Deal was posted here

    There is $44 similar looking brother laser printer in Harvey Norman. I think it is HL 2130. The toner costs $19 if you buy 1 (ebay). Multiple buys will probably bring it down to $16 each.
