Bought this phone last night from Target at Springwood and after seeing it on special earlier for $189 I decided to grab it. I know there are a lot of other bargains to be had at Target.

Also there were 2 others there before I left.

Please also see this comment regarding unlocking Incredible S for free.

Also seeing as I have to get mine repaired for the pixel I spoke with target and none left at all in Brisbane. Just my luck posting it here and everyone taking the good ones. Hope you all enjoy though.

      That link works and you don't need to enter any phone number to get your unlock code.
      I just got the unlock code for my Incredible S that I purchased about 18 months ago.
      I'm on Live Connected so never worried about unlocking it, but as the unlock code is free from that link may as well get it.
      I just entered the IMEI number and other details but left the phone number blank and it worked without problems first go.

      Price is quite good no doubt.

      This phone cannot be considered as awesome by today's standard. A single core phone with 1GB phone memory - it is a low end Android phone in today's standard.

    Bought it for about $280 January last year. The touch screen went wonky last month after the warranty expired (appears to be a common Incredible S problem). Still waiting for a new digitalizer from eBay :(

    But yeah ICS really sucks on this. Not because of Android, but the strip down Sense UI. It's slower than Gingerbread and has features removed.

    Great post OP.

    Target near me was closed yesterday due to ANZAC day, but dropped in at 10am this morning. One left in the cabinet, still marked as $299. Asked for a staff member to scan it and smiled when I saw their eyebrows raise. Had a play with it and is much better than I was expecting it to be. I bough the wife a Galaxy Ace last year for $199 and lasted 6 months until she dropped it and smashed the screen. She'll be happy when I give it to her tonight (see what I did there?).

    On a semi-related note, they were also selling Optus Micro SIM cards for $0.01 that comes with 500mb of data (20 days expiry). They had about 20 in the case and doing my good deed for the day, only bought 5 to give someone else some love. Got hope and went to open one of them to find the expiry day on all of them is 01 April 2013. April Fools eh!

          I also bought one from East Vic Park this morning the last one , great post op

          I was talking to the sales guy and he informed me, that every item priced with 83c at the end, is losing money for them.

    I am not sure why people are still trying. It was such a good price that no one would have left them anywhere. I think lets just accept that the deal has finished! Looking back at the post it is certain that all postcodes have been covered! None anywhere!

      Oh no that has to suck did any others left you could exchange for?
      also try one of those unstick pixel apps they flash different colors in an attempt to unstick pixels. I don't know if they work but they make it easy to spot dead pixels.
      there are paid options there but don't bother lots of free ones.

        Thanks for the suggestion, didn't know about those programs. I left it running all night and it certainly helped it. It was green before now it is more of a very tiny black dot. So will leave it running all day today as well. Hopefully should fix it. And wish I could exchange it but after posting this to hear pretty sure they were cleared out australia wide.

          From what I've read it attempts to unstick them and might stick them on a different color. but hope running it some more fixes it for you.

          Yeah didn't really fix it but was worth a try. May have to return it and hopefully they can source a replacement or get it fixed as I really can't afford much more than I spent.

      Because the phone went on sale on Anzac day the Target salesman explained to me that it's highly unlikely that any stock will be left now nationwide, and as its a clearance item no more of those phones will be coming in.

      On the Gold Coast, Robina and Pacific Fair and Southport is sold out. I looked today.
