  • Good one, one question, can I buy active the SIM cards using the same mobile number one by one? AKA I active the first SIM pack and get a new number, after 29 days, I do the SIM SWAP using the second package (with $40 credit).

Am I able to do that?

    Thanks!

    • If you want to retain your number, you're gonna have to port out and then port back in.

I know Optus can do that, if you replacement a new SIM with credit, then you can get the old number plus new credit, that's why I ask rep and see if Boost can work like that. Thanks for your reply.

I would also like to know that

  • damn just bought a starter pack on the weekend might grab one for the missus

  • I think Boost is great for "national" use owing to its coverage, but the international rates kill it for me. One of the countries I call is 17 times as expensive on Boost compared to Amaysim. Pity, because I need to change provider and was looking forward to going with Boost.

    • Can't use other methods like VOIP for the international calls?

      • Yes, which is what I use primarily (Skype, Vibre), but sometimes it doesn't work or the other person does not have it. Still need to be able to use direct call as backup, but at $6/minute….

        • use skype out if the other person does not have it.

Which is what I meant. Connect to something like PennyTel and use a SIP app on your phone so you can call them on their telephone number and not have to worry about high charges. That's what I do anyhow.

        • I'll look into this, thanks for the info.
Still think the international rates could be better, though.

  • What is the latest date you can start the 30 days if you buy now?

    • expiry on the pack i bought on the weekend is Mach 2015

  • The sim cards from Boost
Can I use them in iphone 5?

    • No, its not the right kind of sim

    • you would have to cut it down to nano size urself

  • Does Boost mobile have access to LTE(4G) network?

    • No 4G on boost yet. They might introduce it in the future
