    DAT REZ!

      I hear ya, it's like a modern day Atari 2600 :-)

      • Does it play River Raid though?!?!

        Flagrant false advertising…

the envy 6 is notorious for snapping hinges.

The screen bezel and backplate are light weight led/plastic combo GLUED to stiff metal hinges

    Stay away

I brought one from MSY with exact spec and i5 CPU for a low $549. Paying $450 more for a slightly faster CPU is not worth it.

$699 would be an ideal price.

    • +2

Sorry this sounds extremely unlikely, more details required.

Pic of settings from your laptop or it never happened

    • +1

Have to agree with ZRXS12 here, the same machine with an i5 for $549 seems pretty unlikely.

Also I am pretty sure that MSY do not do SSD upgrades let alone an mSATA SSD upgrade and no HP comes with this base spec.

A man can dream though I suppose ;)

    • Are you sure it had the graphics card and not the integrated HD3000?
Because mine was $350 (from the HN + beats promo) but it was the 1010TU version which only has a HD3000.

      • -1

It was the HP Pavillion M6-1010TX model.

I should say similar spec rather than exact spec.

Only thing missing is the "128GB SSD" and 8GB less

        Intel Core I5 Processor 3210M 2.5G
        4G RAM DDR3
        500GB Hard Drive
Radeon HD 7670M 2GB Dedicated Graphics
        15.6 Inch Screen (1366 x 768)

        $549

        • Yeah that's quite different. For laptops, the portability is quite important. In this case the M6-1010TX is heavier (1.9kg vs 2.4kg) and thicker (1.98cm vs 2.65cm).

The extra cost is also due to being more portable.

  • yer i love the specs but not a huge fan of flimsy holding together materials XD ~ and im so suprised when i walk in and feel all the laptops in jb, dse, harvy norman, office works and so on when i feel the electricty running through my hand because the dodgy materials dont work to keep the electricty flow from leaking out ~_~

  • Is this antenna being bundled with DIR-600 http://flingshot.com.au/products/d-link-2-4ghz-indoor-5dbi-g… ?

    • That is the one.

  • Do you have any 4GB RAM modules kicking around?

    • Not at the moment the last couple of sales cleared us out. There are actually a couple of people still waiting as we actually oversold them by about 20 units unfortunately.

  • Thanks Rep! Great deal on the DIR-600, was looking for a basic router - ordered (#11185). Also, USB purchased in the last sale (rec'd today) works perfectly, cheers.

  • Where is the link to the DIR-600?

edit: i wasnt looking hard enough

edit2: product specs. I couldnt find if it was gigabit lan or not.

Does anyone know if you can make this a 'wireless network extender' (dont know the correct term) and have it piggy back of the wifi network on the DIR-825? I bought one of those from Flingshot in the last sale.

    • With DD-WRT this works great as a bridge or range extender. We have a couple working here in the warehouse.

  • Hi rep, how great is the range of the DIR-600 with that antenna? I live in a big house with brick walls and we have a router with one broken antenna so the signal is really bad. And can I use the antenna for my current router?

    • +1

We set one up here with the antenna and it doubled the range roughly, this was just testing with an iphone so something with a decent wireless card should be even better.

Cool. Ordered one! Missed out on some of the deals earlier from you guys and I think I would recommend flingshot to all my friends

        • I love Flingshot team and their awesome customer service. They try to and are successful in offering excellent service at all times. Deals are extremely competitive.

Thanks Rep! I've been running a DIR-600 with DD-WRT for the last year or so and it's been rock solid - couldn't say no to another one at this price. Ordered!

    • Hello Relmz,

Thank you for updating us on the rock solid performance of this DIR-600 on DD-WRT firmware. Can anyone please post a link how to upgrade this with DD-WRT? Sorry about my little knowledge on this topic.

      • +1

        Hi saty1296,

Updating to DD-WRT is really not difficult, provided you are prepared to do some reading prior to flashing the new firmware.
The specific procedure may differ depending on which hardware revision you have (I currently have a B1), but all I had to do was upload the new firmware via Dlink's standard firmware update interface.
All of the info you'll need can be found on the DD-WRT website and wiki, but here a few links to get you pointed in the right direction:

I am currently running build 14896 (which has been perfect), but intend on trying out the newer build 21061 once I get my new router.
Anyway, hope this helps - have fun!

        • Thanks for your great help. I will update here once I receive and flash my router which was dispatched at 08:30am today. Was ordered last night at 10:00pm. Excellent customer service Flingshot.com.au.

        • Thanks for your help Relmz. I received my router within a day of ordering. I have flashed my router with build 21061. I will update once I have used it for a few days. At the moment everything seems extremely good.

  • Thanks rep, got myself the DIR-600 even though i bought a router earlier today. First time purchasing routers, and end up buying two in one day.

    Thank you once again.

One day I will make a more substantial purchase but just wanted to say thanks for that USB from the last deal. I am going to have to start recommending Fling shot…too good to be kept a secret

  • The GPU is a class 3 according to notebookcheck.com… ie, not great: http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7670M.69483.0.htm…

    • +1

Well you can't have both performance and battery life.
And it's still much better than integrated.

  • Received my order today, thankyou :)

  • Received the DIR600 + antenna today. Works well, thanks again for the deal and quick shipping Rep.
