‘THE COMPLETE GUITARIST’ is a guitar course of 71 Interactive Video Guitar Lessons on autorun DVD-ROM, which you simply insert into your computer's DVD-ROM drive. It starts with 16 lessons for kids aged 6 -12 years. Then beginners, finger-picking, lead and more advanced techniques. It has an audio tuner, complete interactive chord reference, interactive chord accompaniment guide, 700 song files, 328 backtracks (all of which are written out in the song files), and a program to play them, change the key, speed, mute instruments.

  This looks quite interesting, My kids have been wanting to learn but I don't know a thing about guitars and the trying to read sheet music just doesn't suit their reading skills yet.

    Yep, I don't see why this is worth $19 when there's a plethora of free resources available which do the same thing (and more).

  True, but this is interactive, and you don't need broadband. + you can take it anywhere. It Includes an interactive chord accompaniment guide to help you find the corresponding chords to all your favourite songs,as well as a complete interactive chord book, and an audio tuner.

  The free CD-Rom contains some 700 song files (Word documents). The learner can go through this collection to see which songs are familiar, and which of those have easy chords.

  There are also 328 midi backtracks, all of which are written out in the song files, as well as a program that allows you to play them in any key, change the speed, and mute any channel. Great to practice with!

  Any sample video you get from this DVD? I am wondering how you can fit 71 Video lessons in a DVD, maybe the video quality is not that good.

      Since the lessons each have a couple of videos demonstrating different things, an interactive chord part, an interactive drum button (depending on the lesson), a backtrack each (for the lead lessons), an interactive chords and lyrics section (again depending on the lesson), the lessons don't have a duration. That depends on you.
