Cebit was nothing but pure corporate advertising and was a really boring event, tbh anything you see there that would be remotely interesting, would be posted on cnet and other websites anyway. Fair enough, maybe i should have given a better explanation, but it really wasn't worth the journey into the city.

Ha! Quite a few of us would be there for the corporate advertising, especially if you work in the industry and are looking for suppliers.
The thing about CeBIT Australia is, unless most the booth reps certain that you will bring some sort of benefit to their company (or you are using suits etc.), they won't service you.
when I went as a student there, they only answer your question with one sentence and then go somewhere else.
