    don't understand why this got negged. you are completely right. Beats are WAY overpriced. Even with a 20% off discount, they're STILL overpriced.

      Because DS usually do have items in stock… Excluding one colossal game sales screw up about a year ago that they admitted was a bungle.

      People post low stock deals, then DS gets flack for it. DS aren't saying "OMG LOOK HOW CHEAP THIS IS", our own community is doing that…

      Just wondering, but what do you expect DS to do with low stock items on discount? They are getting rid of stock that hasnt sold, so they want as wide as an audience as they can get when trying to get rid of it… hence… it gets put on the magical world of the internet.

      retailers just can't win sometimes.

    Beats don't do anything for audiophiles or for the budget conscious. One has to be a very brave man indeed to post a beats deal on a forum like Ozbargain, full of tightarse audiophiles.

  Also, formerly working in retail, Beats rarely go on sale and they're rarely discounted on the floor if the sales staff know their shit.

  In other words, this is a deal if you want Beats that you know are legitimate, and have a one-year replacement (if they are still being sorted out as they were when I was in retail 6 months ago) warranty.

  If you don't want Beats, then whatever. I don't see the point bitching and moaning about something you don't want. Otherwise I'd be doing nothing but posting trash talk in the comments section of every burger coupon, piece of crappy software, or garbage Target homeware posted on the site.

  Yes, this is a deal, but JB had it first. Credit should probably go to them on this one. This is basically the same as Officeworks matching a price as a promo so they don't lose another 5%.

  The HTC one with free beats solo HD was the most liked on ozbargain (for anyone who got it), because the beats was considered FREE - ozbargain love Beats by Dre when its free only :)
