  • This is specific to this store. But I called up my local DSE and they were happy to do the same price… Your results may very… I've put 2 on hold (expecting to wreck one early) so I hope these are good…

    • Yeah, it might not be all stores, but I did mention in the description that I rang Parramatta store who confirmed they were doing the same clearance deal. It looks like many stores have stock, just a matter of adding the question I guess.

      • yes I went there yesterday and can confirm that they're on sale for $29 and in stock

    • Saw some for 50% off the $60 marked price at Capalaba Central on Saturday

      • Now 75% off the price so for $15 has to be worth a try - 2 left at Capalaba

  • Do these things have a camera where you can go and spy on your neighbors house?

    • no not that advance for this one :P

  • Does anyone know if these are good or not? Looking at buying some but don't want crap haha.

    • +3

Its swann, you can bet its at least a bit crap.

  • Swann used to make nice 14.4kbps Modems.

    • +2

      They probably still do too.

      • +2

        It's still their best product.

  • DSE North Sydney has one remaining for ~$44.95 (reduced from $149 allegedly). They would not price match Seven Hills.

For an outdoor RC helicopter, it was quite small and plasticy. It's more like a large indoor helicopter.

  • Only 2 remaining at Seven Hills.

  • So you can't add a camera like contour on this chop?

  • Any good op ?

    • Well by the time I got home, charged the thing, and started it, it was dark outside. I had a short go and boy has this thing got some power comapared to my other little RC heli. Nearly broke a couple of fingers trying to grab it before it hit something. There are a heap of fine tuning controls so I am looking forward to having a go in the daylight on the oval over the back. Despite it's plasticy appearance, it has a full metal chassis which seems pretty strong.

For $29 I'm happy so far.

  • I saw these in Hornsby on Sunday but they were still $45 or so then…

If they are any good I'll try to get one…

  • specs?

    • Added to OP

      • Thanks but. …. I just checked out the site and the most important spec is missing. .how many channels is this?

        • Dude its a $30 RC rotary (despite it's original rrp) . No multi channel here. It uses a "digital pairing system" which pairs the device to the controller when you turn it on and operate one of the sticks.

        • 4 Channel helis are cheap from china and i suspect $30 would be an Aussie on sale price from time to time so my question is valid. Seems ridiculous not to mention the channels in advert.

  • I decided to buy one yesterday. It was $22.50 not $29.

Quite hard to fly at once but I think I'm slowing getting the hang of it. Heli feels quite well made an the controller feel quite cheapy but all heli controllers feel that way.

Several stores still show this on store locator price is as above now $22.50 have bought 2 yesterday.

  • After the Box Hill Store reneged on the two I had put on order for $29. I've put 4 on hold at another store @ $22.50 each. Great gift for a friend's birthday this weekend. Has anyone found spare parts for these yet?

  • wish I saw this a week ago - now I can understand why a few have popped up on ebay (for twice the price).

I want spare parts for these! My originally priced ($100) helicopter is rendered useless after the tail rotor stripped its plastic gearing (in-built design flaw - plastic cog meets metal cogs - short life span). It spins great at high speed now.

I cant see any online stock shown for Perth but I'm very interested if there are actually any available within Perth stores.

  • Any one else notice when you put power higher the heli starts to spin around in circles? It didn't do this at the start.

  • I think the back motor is quite weak. Don't recommend attaching anything onto the heli and running full speed for very long.
