1.6m Power Kite $7.99 Clearance @ Kathmandu Chatswood Mandarin Ctr [SYD]

50

Out of stock at Kathmandu Chatswood Mandarin Centre. Maybe check your local clearance store. "Original" price was $59.95, then down to $9.99, but they had a further 20% off for 'summer' stock, so down to only $7.99. Not as good as 2 free kites the other day (if anyone managed to get one) but still a pretty good price.

It looks similar to this style http://www.kitepower.com.au/ozone-imp.html - which i've already got one. Haven't flown it yet to compare, but thought it would be good to have a second one - then I can have kite wars with my friends! :-)

There was 8 remaining. You could try your local one to see if they have any in stock.

Also, saw a kids T-ball set that was $59 down to $9.99 which seemed pretty good.

  • When I read "Power Kite" i jumped in here to see what kind of motor it had on it!!

Could somebody please clarify what the word power means in relation to kites?

    • Well, the label has a Warning which reads: "Parafoil kites are capable of generating a high level of force, especially in strong wind conditions" - so, basically, it's big enough to be pretty Powerful. Unlike your traditional kiddy or little diamond kite.

  • +2

    This deal blew me away…

    • you could say the deal is quite fly…

      • for a white kie

  • Haha, had one of these once … let my niece hold it on a windy day … it would have taken her away but the little terror let it go and I never saw it again…

    Great kite.

    • Wow - must have been pretty strong wind. I've let my other one go, and it just drops to the ground - but could get blown along from there if you're not quick enough to grab the lines.

    • i was waiting for the "and we never saw her again", never seeing the kite again was definitely a twist there

      • lol it sounded like he was more disappointed that his niece wasn't taken away with the kite.

        • Well i was VERY disappointed that I lost the best kite I ever had…

  • how does this compare to a patong fighting kite

    • haven't flown the Kathmandu one yet, but it's got 2 lines like my other one, so imagine it will be easier to control than the single line kites - ie, if you want it to go one way, say left, pull the left line more, then to go back, pull the other line. Can do loops and stuff too.

  • out of stock at chatswood mandarin and westfield! Anyone spotted any around the area? Am keen to pick up two for the kids…

  • Couldn't find any in Sydney Mid City Centre Kathmandu.

  • None at Kathmandu Town Hall.
