  • Why not have it hook into existing online emergency information? According to your features you don't do this.

You don't need to remember each local number, you can ring 112 in most countries.

found the SAS survival guide to be much more useful for emergency situations since it actually has procedures and advice. (also has built in morse code flasher etc)

this 'emergency kit' seems to be just a quick dial for emergency numbers that everyone should know anyway. Don't think twitter and facebook is that big a priority since if you still have internet access you can prob do it yourself. the situations where you need to update fb in a 2 button press is the smallest of small situations

no offense to OP, just my feelings to an app like this.

    • good advise thank mate :-) working on more features like the extra ones mentioned.

I don't think it's terribly good form to be encouraging people to be reliant on their mobile phones in an emergency / disaster situation. The 'loud alarm' is also going to be rather useless and dependant on the device's loudeness. In a disaster, there is not much chance of it being heard. People would be better off with something like a Fox40 whistle (or similar) in a proper emergency kit for that sort of thing.

I highly recommend looking at suggested emergency kit contents on the website of the relevant emergency services in your state or maybe even call up and ask for an information pack to be sent out if they have them.
