  • Is buying online and picking up from a store still considered "online"?

Is anyone else having a Visa card declined?

Tempted into buying a Fujitsu Split System and use the $200 cash back as well!

    • Same here, additionally I'm going to claim $250 cash back from Energex (QLD only). Getting $700 back ($450 cash + $250 GG credit) equals to free installation. Really tempted.

  • Love their "terms and conditions"

  • can you use the credit at the same time or do you have to make another purchase?

I want to buy a fridge but TGG online store is $1540 where their in store is $1365 and JB Home is $1375 same with applianance online which is $1380. All a lot cheaper then TGG online store of $1540.

How can I get TGG Online store to price match this as well as give me the $250 credit?

  • Just got a Gas Cooktop… will see what i can use the $120 credit on now

  • +1

I doubt their online store price matches. Waste of time.

    • If you look on their online store it does mention this - http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/content-PriceGuarant…

      So whats the difference?

      • +1

the T&C from their site states
        * Local competitor - A local bricks and mortar storefront, actively engaged in The Good Guys local retail market.

^ Evidence of an authentic advertised price in a daily newspaper or catalogue, commercial radio or television.

I guess this means no online price. Also after reading all the online rants about their price guarantee, it doesn't seem like they will honor it.

        • +3

What pisses me off the most is their in store price is $1365 where there online store is $1540

          Its a big fat joke!!!

        • +1

You want to hear a bigger joke. When it's reversed, their physical stores don't match their online price. Even if you set it to their store.

          More like The Gronk Guys.

  • Does discount applies when you purchase online with Interest Free option?
Would be nice to get a dishwasher with $250 discount and 6 month interest free.

    • Doesn't look like it.

To be eligible to receive a Store Credit claimants must make an eligible purchase in a single transaction online at www.thegoodguys.com.au during the Promotional Period. The purchase must be paid for in full before the end of the Promotional Period.

While the online prices are fixed, the terms of the Cyber Cashback are here for you to have a look at:
    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/ContentDisplayView?emsName=Promo_12&cm_sp=Homepage--Banner--CyberCashback

If you decide that you would rather have a price match on the item you’re looking at, I would recommend calling xyz at Parramatta store, to see what he might be able to offer.
    ………………………………………………….

    The Price guarantee states:

    Before You Buy
In the unlikely event that you see a lower advertised price by any local competitor*, for any product we stock prior to purchasing from us, we will beat that price to maintain our Lowest Price policy.

GG made me wait from midday today when i first contacted them on facebook. The latest update is as follows:

Thanks for your email regarding our Price Guarantee.

We’ll price match against local bricks and mortar store front competitors. Should you ever want to take up this offer your local store will be able to assist you with the transaction.
Unfortunately, our price guarantee is not applicable against mobileciti.

      ====

To which I replied that MCiti is a brick and motar store in Parramatta. Im not getting the phone from GG.

      • Despite their price guarantee, they will not match mobileciti's prices. Very bad guys

      • so did you get any response from GG after stating MobileCiti is a brick and mortar store??? I actually bought the Note 2 already…. I did ask the Auburn store (being closest to MobileCiti and the girl said as long as it has a B & M store then it's fine…

        • See GG's last reply below:

I replied that MobileCiti is a brick and motar store in Parramatta.

          But no response from GG.
Other people (see MolloKobi's comment below) had no response from GG as well.
The price guarantee is rubbish since they will not match MobileCiti's price. GG is a big timewaster.

***BTW what price did you pay? Did you get a store credit of $120 as advertised on GG's website.

        • I paid $618 for it and still waiting for my store credit email, hopefully i get it soon. Also re. the price guarantee with mobileciti, tat's very dodgy…I think i will try calling and explain them mobileciti is a physical store…

  • I emailed them yesterday as we were looking at purchasing a $900 wall oven. Asked them if the $120 could be used to purchase an iPad. No response.

the store credit comes in the form of a gift card if i'm not wrong, which has no limitations on what you can use it for

      • I think tchi6 is correct in that you can use the credit for anything. I received one earlier this year after buying a washing machine. IIRC, I had to go onto the website, register for the store credit, then they sent through an email which I needed to print. The printed email contained a barcode, which is scanned at the register when you make your purchase.

I used mine ($30) to pay for the delivery of the TV we recently purchased from them.

Nothing cheap at thegoodguys with high markup prices.

  • Sweet, I've been trying to find a decent deal on a new fridge for my parents.

Tried haggling before EOFY and they wouldn't budge much, now I can get around a 15% saving after taking into account shipping.

  • Does the giftcard get added anywhere or does it just come with the delivery?

  • +1

purchased 2 thing which adds up to $1050, but they could only give me $120 store credit. had to cancel my order. terms and conditions are not clear.

    • They could of made it more clear, but in the last sentence of the 2nd bullet point they stated:

The Store Credit value issued to customers will be based on the eligible product purchased, not the total transaction value.

    • Just curious how could you tell how much credit you would've gotten? When I made my purchase there was nothing in the check out process to indicate how much store credit would be given.

BTW you could've try to split up your purchase into 2 separate transactions and gotten a cash back for each of them.

    Hi All,
