    When a phone is locked to Optus, will it work on TPG (TPG runs on Optus)?

    I guess not, but I thought I would ask in case anyone knows.

      Should probably try to google the question as im sure many people will ask the same thing.

      As far as im concerned, an Optus locked device will work in any reseller of Optus. TPG, amaysim, etc.
      I personally tested it OK with amaysim

      Quick google search and some random person said:
      "Yes it does work. I have an Optus Sim card that was originally with Soul and then TPG when they bought them out. I have an Optus locked Iphone 3g and it works no problem. The only issue is I can't unlock the Iphone as I never had an Optus account only a Soul / TPG account. Any help here would be great."

      I have a 16GB iPhone White (Optus Pre-Paid) that I am using the TPG sim card in. It's still locked to Optus.

      You don't need to change anything it all just works.

        Get one of those $1 sim cards from DSE, then call up Optus and say you're going overseas and would like to unlock the phone.

      Yeah it should probably work, I have a iPhone r4 locked to optus and I've used a dodo sim card in it and it works fine

      Yes it'll work. I've bought an opt us prepaid (locked) phone before and worked fine with LC, so it should work with any opus network.

      Yes it will work. I bought an Optus prepaid and used my TPG sim card in it with no problems.

    Can anyone comment on the general condition of these refurbished iPhones?

    I see the page says "Online Price", does this mean you can't buy in store for that price (i.e. no inspection prior to purchase)?

      I bought a 3GS about 6 months ago and it had minor scratches but still works fine. Expect minor wear and tear but everything in working order.

    Just purchased the 8gb IPhone 4 from them a few days ago for $248. Murphys Law - the bane of Ozbagian! Tried to give them a call but they said they can't do anything about it. Apparently the 8gb isn't included anyway. Oh well, they're all sold out anyway…. sobs

    I received my iphone 4 32gb. It's fine with a few minor scratches. However the screen has a little rippling affect if you lightly touch it and is noticeable on black backgrounds. Can I somehow get this exchanged? Will ebgames do anything about this?

      Bummer. That doesn't sound too good, mate. Not sure what the expectations or T&C are for refurbished models but I'd be pretty disappointed if mine (yet to receive) had that condition. Definitely inquire or make a complaint…

        UPDATE: Took it to an ebgames store and showed the manager and explained the problem. He said he agrees it shouldn't be doing that ripple thing so he said I could get a refund or get it fixed and sent to ebgames HQ or somewhere. I said I'll get it fixed. Took a week and I got the phone back in the mail today and the ripples are still there but just in different places. I'm just going to get a refund now. Waste of time.

    Pretty happy with my iPhone 4 32GB so far. There's a tiny, tiny, faint scratch or two on the front, but barely noticeable. Just waiting on my Otterbox case… Currently wrapped in bubblewrap everywhere I take it.
