Amaysim UNLIMITED 50% off First Month ($19.95) Ends 31 Aug

80
UNL50

Amaysim is currently doing a 50% off promo on their unlimited plan, first month only. Usually $39.90 and with code 50UNL UNL50 it would be $19.95 for the first month.

The conditions of the promo are:

  • Offer only available to new customers who buy their SIM Card online using credit or debit card
  • Discount only applies to a customer’s first month of Unlimited
  • Offer expires on 28 July

Edit: Btw Qwibble is doing $39 cashback on the Amaysim unlimited plan. However you usually need to be on the plan for 3 months before Amaysim will release the commission to Qwibble (which then gets rebated to you). So you can't really make a profit here ($39 > $19.95).

Amaysim doesnt have the advantage now that boost is with Telstra (only 10c more a month), only thing is you get 1GB less. Vaya is $45 unlimited (but you get 4G LTE).

Disagree. For people who phone overseas (and who need to be able to do so without Vibre, etc.) Boost is not worthwhile because their overseas rates are insane. Amaysim has fantastic rates on some countries which are hugely expensive with other providers.

      • I agree. Overseas calls are only thing tht keeps me with Amaysim otherwise i would have shifted to other provider since i get almost ZERO coverage inside my appartment.

Then Aldi wouldn't be a bad choice because you get 100min (or $100?) worth of international calls, and it's $35/mth (that gives you unlimited calls in AU + 5GB data)

        • Aldi is bit costly for my usage. Amaysim charges me $19 a month and give me $19 credit and 500 MB data which is ok for me.

        • 'remember getting that on 3mobile when they first brought up teh plan
          ,around 7-9 year ago .. 3G 500 mb. True..

          !Thx Optusworld ( 2013)

          /my how times have progressed.

        • because you get 100min (or $100?) worth of international calls

Neither is a correct statement I'm afraid.

You get $10 credit for "international calls and premium services"
          https://www.aldimobile.com.au/plans

still a good deal though as Aldi uses the Telstra network (but 3G only)

Even a little more versatile than that. If the the premium/international services don't get used up on ALdi then that discrete credit may be applied come off your next aldi bolt-on. This puts Aldi pricing in line level with "Kogan mobile 365 recharge" ~= $25/m.
Confirmed that myself, but discussed on whirl pool.

    • Yes these guys FTW, go there at least 1 month before switching up $2X.Xx/m 850Mhz (Kogan, Aldi etc).

  • What can you say about Lebara Mobile guys?

    • Price is ok but you get voda network, if you live in an area that has good voda coverage then there's nothing to worry about.

      • yeah,,Voda signal in my place seems alright but
Amaysim : no flagfall but higher call and sms rates
Lebara : has flagfall but lower calls and sms rates

        hummm.. hard to choose,,

        • +1

If you talk for longer duration in each call, use Lebara.
If your calls are shorter, use Amaysim.

        • With Voda, signal strength isn't everything. We had ok strength, but calls were garbled and kept disconnecting. Internet throughput in crowded places was zero, even at 5 bars signal strength.

Amaysim is again been promoting this offer due to recent Kogan / ispOne fiasco.

  • innocent victim in the Kogan Mobile drama… Signed up the wife on Amaysim and myself with Boost. Was previously with Red Bull, but the Vodafone based MVNOs are way too slow for data and coverage outside of Perth CBD.
Thanks for posting! code is stil working as of 20-Aug-2013

    • What if you bought 2 cards of each and ported across after the first 30 days.
Then 2 more and ported again after 60 days.
Buy 24 cards - 12 from Boost and 12 from Amaysim, and just port back and forth every 30 days. That's 12 months for $240.

      Any flaws in that plan?
