thank you! I've just redeemed 2: $100+$50 for 3000 zoints. If the deal was on 2 days ago i could have used the cards for the HTC 8x i bought on Tuesday
P.S if you redeem you get the cards(no. and pin in a pdf) instantly in your email, the cards expire in 2 years!

  • How many points is each can/bottle?

    • No points for Cans. All bottle cokes have 10 points.

  • +3

Time to drink coke now instead of pepsi.

Also it's pretty easy to gain up some points if you are willing to pick coke bottles off the ground and hopping that the code hasn't been used.

Plenty in the city i have walked pass and by picking up empty coke bottles it is the only way to gain enough points for the $250 JB voucher without drinking yourself to death.

    • +3

You sir, are being a real tight arse. Good work! Ps. Isn't it about time you changed your username?

    • +2

Very strange that Coke is valuing one bottle (10 tokens) as being worth 50c ($50/1000*10) when they can't fathom paying 10c for the bottle to be recycled….

      • +1

Wow, I just realised that those in SA can really rack up on this deal! Pick up bottles for 50c reward points AND 10c recycling. BARGAIN! Esp with that Sumo Salad deal. Pepsi to go, have you considered relocating? Or is that too expensive for you?

        • This is all strangely familiar…

Nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine bottles and cans in the trunk
Nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine bottles and cans.
At ten cents a bottle and ten cents a can
We're pulling in five hundred dollars a man!

    Wow so according to this..

It will cost you $1237.50 for 4950 points and it will take you approx 49weeks. (assuming $2.50 per bottle)

That is A LOT of sugar.

Unless you can go dumpster diving which still will take you ~49weeks to get one $250, unless you have mutiple accounts.

    • coke zero doesn't have sugar :)

      • -1

I think coke zero is worse though? It has 'fake' sugar which is worse than real sugar?

        • Have you got any scientific proof that "fake" sugar is worse than the real one? I don't want to start a debate(it can last forever) but I'm sure I will not die from drinking coke zero so I don't worry much about it ;)
P.s I didn't drink all these coke bottles, but i have been collecting codes for a few years now

        • -1

          Yeah facts you say?
          Google it.
Plenty of studies on the subject.
          Avoid.

Scientific journal or it didn't happen.

          Lol

        • name one! Google says atmospheric air is toxic too, don't tell me you are holding your breath!

    • +4

A lot of people on OzBargain have been collecting these codes for years. I got plenty of free bottles a few years back when 7-Eleven were giving away vouchers for free 450mL bottles.

      • wow. I missed that!

Yea I guess I always threw the bottles/codes away after drinking it. Should have kepted them!

        • +1

          Kepted?

        • +5

          Kepted
          /verb/

The past tense of kept. When you've kept something for so long it doesn't exist anymore.

        • Is that anything like Redempted?.

  • 86 more bottle of cokes to drink until i get another $50 voucher.

Redeemed alot this year and now i'm down to 140 points.

  • +1

Not the best value reward, but has the benefit of being able to be redeemed in larger amounts.

20 points per dollar of reward. Same value as the other two JB Hifi gift card deals listed recently (except for the $250 which is 19.8 per dollar of reward).

    Compare:

Video Ezy Flash Rewards - 3.5 points per dollar of reward (Flash rewards costs $39.95)

Hoyts tickets - 8.6 points per dollar of reward (when modestly valued at $11: probably worth more when you consider the real tickets are $18 and the cinevouchers you might otherwise buy for $11 can't be used for as many things)

EMI $5 voucher - 10 points per dollar of reward

EMI single song download - 12 points per dollar of reward (songs sold for up to $2.09 each)

    • +1

That being said JB Hifi gift card lets you have access to way more items to buy and you can wait till another JB bargain surface and you use your gift card on those. $250 also essentially replaces the PS Vita reward which is double win.

Hoyts tickets are still awesome for a nightout/cheap date though.

      • 100% agree blahman. And if you wait for an upcoming sale it also brings the PS3 within range.

        • Agree with both of you! I've been saving the points for a"free" PS3 but now ps3's aren't available anymore and I have(had) 3900 points. With the $150 vouchers today I can buy the Ps3 when on special almost free or spend the vouchers on anything else in store.

  • Awesome thanks

Really wish Coke would bring out an app for Android.
The old app for "Coke Unleash"was alright till they decided to give it a make over and call out "Coke Rewards".

    • +1

I have used the app on iphone but it was toooo slow. IMHO much better and faster sending an sms with the code(free if you are with Telstra) and you can't lose track of the codes as they stay in your outbox (you han also see your codes history on the site). The mobile site is not bad. I wish they had barcodes instead of just numeric codes and an app that could scan the barcodes. I'm sick of typing those tiny dot printed numbers everyday :)

  • Arghh had 1000 points and wasted 400 on the previous jbhifi deal

  • it seem the $100 is sold out

    • Ta - deal updated

  • $50 one is sold out as well…i still have 2.3k points remaining ><

    • Ta - deal updated

  • 3600 points here, dammit! I saw this post earlier but was too busy at the time to make use of it…

  • All of them sold out.

    • Ta - deal marked as expired.

      Thanks for playing all.

  • Traded in 2x $100 and 1x $50. Down to 200 points now. Enought for 2 Hoyts movie passes :D

    • +2

Thanks blahman. What movie are we going to see? :-P

    • wasn't it max 2 per person?

      • 2 of each type of gift card >$10, 4 of the $5 gift cards.

  • +1

    Can't believe I missed this.

  • DAMN WORK GOT IN THE WAY OF MY OZBARGAIN'ing!!
    NOOOOOOO! I missed these toooooo
