The service on Emirates trans tasmanian flights is among the best in the world (hot food, free drinks, large comfy jet, etc) in my opinion.

  You can also fly another airline there oneway and comeback on emirates, if that works out cheaper

  Seems to be a fairly average price, no? I'm still kicking myself for missing out on the sale where Jetstar had return tickets including taxes for $200.

    You need to remember that the pirces are in New Zealand dollars. To convert to Aussie dollars take off about 20%. Also, comparing Emirates to Jetstar is like comparing apples to oranges. Emirates is a full service airline.
