If my kids get me a $1 Laptop bag for Father's Day, they'll be written off my will…

      Beggars can't be choosers

    • LOL.You are a funny dad though.

    • With a $1 laptop bag on offer, I'm sure they wouldn't be too concerned!!!

    • +3

      You should be proud they are following your footsteps in how to $ T R E T C H a BUCK! :)

I'm pretty sure that half of the stuff in your will including your will is from ozbargain.

You have kids?!?! Was this within budget?

    • Jv, there's one way to make sure your kids have enough $ to buy you a decent gift, stop paying them 50 cents a week allowance!
PS if they paid $1 for something worth say $5 would that make you feel any better?!

    • Cheers OP, picked up the last two in Adelaide City just before shutting time. Better than expected for $1, and great for me to put some music folders in, and is better than shoving my laptop loose in a bag.

  • Sorry, this product is currently out of stock in all QLD branches.

    • incorrect. i went to bundamba at 5:30pm this afternoon and bought one (a laptop bag, that is). good luck to everyone else

  • those portable chargers especially the 9000mah look pretty decent also? link that with a small solar charger…

  • Those are patriot fuel+ chargers, the red ones have 2.5A (12W) ports which are the only ones in the market I believe, so they will charge the ipad 3/4 at the same speed as the apple 12w charger.

  • Seems like this product

    Although Price listed as $5
Showing stock in my local MSY

    • That one looks different. It's a sleeve with no handles whereas this is a bag with handles.

Awesome, need one, hopefully they still have stock before I get to work today…a little off topic, but was there a time when they use to give you a laptop bag with you new laptop or am I imagining things (again)…

    • +1

Yeah, true BUT in those halcyon days of yore one paid a LOT MORE for the laptop….!!

      • Yes, like 2 grand for my 14" Dell laptop about 8-9 years ago… Compared to the $700 17" Acer a few months back!

  • Just grabbed some. Cheap and crappy - ozbargain style

    • is it strong enough to carry your laptop without falling off?

      • perhaps.. there's no zippers - just a single cheap material velcro strap (apart from that the top is open). the rest of it is covered in that cheap plasticky stuff. It's essentially a thick sleeve with handles and some pockets. if you need something for business or looks nice (or want something to impress dad) I'd stay away.

        • Thanks

      • that's my exact concern too.

well, better safe than sorry. I will skip this one.

      • +1

handles on mine seem fairly sturdy for $1. i wouldn't be too concerned. much better than using, say, a woolworths "eco-friendly" bag

The laptop bag was probably made in a China sweatshop for 50c that's how they can afford to sell it for $1.

  • Thank you so much OP. I have been looking for a cheap-ish carry case for my 16.4" Sony Vaio notebook (yes, I have been regretting it ever since). None have fitted it so far, Except for this one! Best $1 I ever spent. There is still plenty of stock at Mitcham, VIC for those who still want one.

  • Just picked up two. Best $2 I have spent (Good for what it is). They probably go for $8 retail each.

I have the bag… and it IS a one dollar bag.

  • just wonder how much it costed for the labour on $1 bag… these guys are really poor.
