They're the same guys who did this deal last year

  • so,is it good to deal with?

    • They ship fast, and they answer emails. Got my Thinkpad within 1 business day. I live close to Auburn though, so that might have something to do with it.

  • battery life seems on the lacking end but overall solid reviews

  • +1

I believe these guys also did the BELKIN ScreenCast AV 4 Wireless AV to HDTV Transmitter & Receiver.

I received the item very fast.

Im just hoping these guys do a deal on the Samsung Activ Q when it gets released!

  • is it the first gen of the series, as I know the newest one is much better? anyone help me with this concern please?

    • its the old first gen

  • prefer a microsoft surface pro for the same price

    • Pretty sure the 64GB Surface Pro is $809 and that's student pricing.
Doesn't bundle Touch Cover Keyboard either. The Sony here is a different form factor too — its a convertible, not a slate.

      • appreciate the post mate, wasn't arguing just stating opinion to offer an alternative

  • From the price i think its a preety good deal !

  • I've been looking at this for a while, but I might wait for the Haswell version to come out(if there's one in the future), apparently Haswell is more power efficient and better for laptop and tablets.

    • It'll improve by about 30min-1hr. It's not gonna miraculosly have arm-cpu like stamina.

Get the convertibles with batteries in the keyboard, they state to do ~9 hours

    • Haswell version is already released to good reviews but this is MUCH cheaper

      • The newly released 2nd gen Haswell Sony Vaio Duo 13" will reportedly do 15 hours on a single battery. A very significant increase in battery life (though it is 2 inches larger and a quite heavier).

  • I just recently purchased this from JB, it cost me $899 and it was a demo :( battery lasts about 3:30hrs, the full hd screen is awesome but prone to finger prints. Keyboard is backlit but a little small. The 128gb ssd is super quick, turns on in about 5secs. Its a good all rounder, can be used as a tablet and comes with a stylus and noise cancelling earbuds which are great. Overall im happy with purchase but would of loved some extra battery life.

  • Good price, almost got it when it was $1000, but then I saw it in person. Cramped keyboard, limited convertible design, heavy as a tablet, and too expensive for what it is.
