Got an email from AMEX, not sure if this is exclusively for AMEX holders. But worth a shot if you are looking to book a hotel from Expedia all the way up to 31 March 2014.

Coupon Terms and Conditions
1. The coupon code is a single-use coupon and is offered by Expedia, Inc, a Washington corporation ("Expedia").

1. The coupon code may be used to book one new Expedia Rate hotel booking online at www.expedia.com.au ("Website") in accordance with all applicable:
   a. booking dates;
   b. travel dates;
   c. required payment options;
   d. minimum stay requirements;
   e. minimum spend requirements; and
   f. other restrictions on use,
   advised to you at the time of issuing the coupon code (together the "Redemption Requirements").

2. The coupon code cannot be redeemed against flight only, car only or hotel bookings for Harrah's, MGM, Starwood, Novotel, Sol Melia, Rezidor, Hilton Hotels, InterContinental, Accor, Sofitel, Mercure, Ibis, Pullman, MGallery, Suite hotel, All Seasons, Four Seasons, Orbis or Marriott hotels. Participating hotels may change at any time. Please refer to the Website to search for the current participating hotels.

3. Provided that you make a new booking in accordance with the Redemption Requirements, the coupon code entitles you to the discount displayed with the coupon code, before the application of any taxes, applicable fees or additional costs. The coupon code may only be used in relation to a single booking. In the event that the entire value of the coupon code is not used in the single booking, the residual value of the coupon code is forfeited by the recipient, and the recipient will not be entitled to any monies, refund, further coupon code or any other compensation in respect of the residual value.

4. The coupon code may not be used:
   a. when making a booking using the "pay at the hotel later" option; or
   b. with other discount coupons, promotions or special offers.

5. The coupon code cannot be redeemed against taxes, supplier fees, cancellation or change penalties, administrative fees or other miscellaneous charges, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.

6. In relation to the Expedia Price Match, while the coupon code may be used in conjunction with a booking made once the Expedia call centre representative has confirmed the eligibility of a Price Match claim, the coupon code cannot be used to reduce the value of a booking for the purpose of making a Price Match claim.

7. A limit of one (1) coupon code may be used per person and per booking. The coupon code cannot be used for any booking previously made and will be deemed fully redeemed once a qualifying booking has been made.

8. The coupon code has no cash value and no refunds or cash alternative will be offered. Improper use of the coupon code by you including but not limited to publication or selling of the coupon code is prohibited and may constitute fraud.

9. All bookings are subject to availability, the Website Terms of Use and all applicable terms and conditions which would otherwise apply to that booking.
   

10. The coupon code may not be used by employees of Expedia group companies or any other person professionally connected with this promotion.
    

11. Expedia reserves the right to vary the coupon code conditions of use or to withdraw the coupon code at any time. Expedia's decision is final in all matters relating to this promotion.
    

12. The coupon code is an offer from Expedia and may only be used by Australian residents aged 18 years and over. Expedia reserves the right to require coupon code recipients to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Expedia.
    

13. If we become aware, or have reason to suspect (in our reasonable opinion), that you have:
    

    a. made multiple bookings on the Website using the coupon with a view to re-selling any accommodation;
    b. breached, or otherwise do not comply with, the Redemption Requirements or these Terms and Conditions;
    c. or otherwise engaged in conduct which impacts on the fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this offer,
    we may, in our absolute discretion, cancel all bookings made by you using the coupon code and/or cancel the coupon code.

14. In the event that:
    

    a. the booking made using the coupon code is cancelled for any reason;
    b. or the coupon code is cancelled pursuant to these terms and conditions,
    the full value of the coupon code is forfeited by the recipient, and the recipient will not be entitled to any monies, refund, further coupon code or any other compensation in respect of the coupon code.

15. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expedia excludes all liability (including negligence) arising out of or in connection with:
    

    a. any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
    b. the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
    c. any variation in of these terms and conditions;
    d. electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the prize(s); and
    e. any loss or damage suffered by any person redeeming the coupon code and/or their accompanying traveller (if applicable) in connection with their redemption of the coupon code or any travel or other activities associated with the booking.

16. Coupon code is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
    

17. These coupon code terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. All parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
