    • +3

      no, 1366 x 768 resolution.
The msi laptop is certainly a better deal with a haswell cpu

    • Thanks Rep. The MSI GE60 seems ok.
Any similar ones but with 4th Gen CPU?

      • Hi, not at the moment. Only deals on these ones :)

        • ordered one yesterday. thanks for linking the deal.

    • Do you have stock?
      When can do delivery?

      • Both are in stock :) delivery is 1-2 days to metro areas once payment has been received

  • Do HP laptops continue to tend to suffer from the overheating problems that plagued them in the last few years?

Maybe the switch to Nvidia will help?

    • Maybe the switch to Nvidia will help?

Not really. Laptops generally tend to overheat when given a high enough load and their fans simply aren't enough to keep up with the heat the GPU is dumping. Hence, a laptop with a mainstream design but with gaming specifications tend to operate very close to the threshold during normal use — and with extended use (or a hot Australian summer) it doesn't take much to overwhelm it's cooling system.

Buy a Clevo laptop if you want a decent gaming machine. They have very good cooling (dedicated heatsinks for CPU and GPU, rather than a shared one).

Been waiting for a Clevo rep to get on here and offer us a deal. (hint hint…someone). W230ST perhaps…

Hi rep just a couple of questions on the MSI GE60 15.6" Full HD, i7-3630QM, 8GB, 750GB HDD, 2GB GFX, Blu-ray, Windows 8 Notebook [GE60 0ND-624AU]……I heard there is a void warranty sticker over the screw hole to remove back cover to install an msata card . Does this really void the warranty as sticker says. And also is the keyboard back lit. thanks…..

    • Sorry neg by accident

    • Hi, the keyboard on the GE60 is not backlit. Im not sure about the warranty issue there. You will have to check with MSI. If the sticker says it I wouldn't take the risk :)
