  • It's been $79, not selling and on an end display for at least 6 months at my local WW.

Previously they had this model for $39 (or thereabouts) when you spent $70 or more in store.

We bought one then. It's actually been a pretty solid unit so far, especially for that price. Time will tell if it will hold up though.

We bought it when it was $39 with $150 spent. Being using it a lot and have nothing to complain at that price point.

  • Does anyone have a source of discounted capsules?

  • what kind of capsule works with that machine?

    • +1

Anything that's Caffitaly or MAP compatible.

  • Also, Aldi Capsules, as well as the Woolies own brand ones.

Aldi don't work I killed a machine trying.

    • Definitely not Aldi pods, you end up with a cup full of grinds as the Aldi capsules only have one filter in the pod instead of two and the water flows through the pod the opposite way.

This means if you use the Aldi pod in the machine, the incoming water is filtered but what goes out is not which is why you end up with heaps of grinds in the cup.

As always, remember these are like inkjet printers:
cheap machine but very expensive refills, and brand lock-in.
Woolworths pods are $50/kg, compared to $15 for the beans.

    (For Nespresso, double those numbers.)

    • Those that buy pod machine already knew, we just want convenience.

Yeah, but this is ozbargain, and impulse-buying is common :)

  • Checked out Maddington WW but none in stock. Bought from WW Thornlie (forest lakes) WA store. Lots in stock. Thank you!

  • Was $49, before Fathers Day if I recall.

  • My first one was a dud. It simply wouldn't prime and made the most awful screeching noise. Luckily the replacement one is working fine. I'm saving the capsules to try refilling myself, as foobar suggested :-)
