  • "Visionary Mapping™ System"

I hate when marketing comes up with a moniker for something they absolutely do not need a moniker for.

I wonder if reviews show the camera mapping as beneficial. You could merrily generate a map with a cheaper sensor rather than a more expensive camera.

  • $344 delivered for a factory 2nd from buysmarte.com.au.

$384 from JB Hi Fi Home.

Considering it's new and comes with the bonus and is from a nation wide retailer, that's a decent price. Not exciting, but decent.

  • Does anyone have one of these? Or similar for a review? Wife has a dyson dc39 but been pestering me for ages abouth the robot vacs. Are they really worth the money?

It is hard to replace a Dyson, especially with a Robot. This Samsung one is entry level and for sure won't deliver as good results. The only really good ones are Roomba, Vorwerk and Neato but even there i would recommend the more expensive ones.

I was selling them for a while and only the high end units really satisfied the customers.

      • Thanks for the reply cheers

Bought a LG Roboking (square version with turbo mode) last Thursday after extensive hours looking at what the best robovac would be. Whirlpool has alot of first-hand experience comments on roomba vs roboking.
Also check Amazon. My suggestion is if you are serious about purchasing one of these robovac research on only the 'a' vs 'b' reviews.

Anyways, my Roboking has done a great job in maintaining a spotless floor. Emphasis on "maintaining".
Just don't expect any miracles and you would be surprised by how full the onboard bin can get from a pre-steam mopped tiled floor.

Note: JBHIFI-Home had the square roboking on sale at $839 last weekend. It's about $780-$830 from online stores. Ebay sells korean versions for around $700 or less.
Roomba 790 is going for about $1100 from HN O.o' - go figure.

we have this one. It is ok on tiles. Not great. On carpet, not very good. Also, our house is large and it gets lost and forgets to take itself home to recharge. It just stops where it is. It is yet to complete an entire cycle of the house (it is meant to take itself home to recharge and then go back to where it left off to finish after fully charged again). A bit frustrating as you need to move all the smaller things out of its way too. By the time I move everything (I have a 3 year old) I could have just gotten the dyson out and vacuumed the house myself.

      • Cheers

  • I am just wondering which steam mop they mean. The only Kenwood one they sell is 88.-
