    multiciti booking link.

    http://www.thaiairways.com/booking-form/en/multicity.html

its an awesome bargain if they in fact honor it because normally its around $1000 for return economy flights from melbourne.

and its much more expensive from November to January.

    • I can only get this price for Sydney to Delhi/mumbai, Price for Delhi/mumbai to Sydney is lot higher. (i checked for same date)

  • How ?? Which Multi-Cty combi you using — i am getting $1200+

  • +7

Thanks Excellent find. My tickets are already booked :( but awesome deal. I m too scared thou coz of Pricing Error Season

    • +9

      You fear being Koganly Lameovo'd

      • +3

        Thai'd

        • could do price match at Flight Centre for a more legitimate booking, I think they even give you a $20 voucher.

    • +5

Mistake airfares are rarely cancelled, and those airlines that attempt to cancel confirmed tickets often find themselves in hot water with the civil aviation authorities of various countries. Recent example is Swiss' attempt to cancel ~$600 First Class tickets (flying from Burma to Europe to Canada), where the Canadian Transportation Authority forced them to reinstate the tickets (or reimburse passengers for booking replacements): https://www.otc-cta.gc.ca/eng/ruling/239-c-a-2013

I've flown plenty of "mistake fares" over the years (including the aforementioned ~$600 First Class fare this year), and have never had an issue with airlines honouring the ticket. So I think it's unlikely you'll get Thai'd here, particularly when the discount isn't large enough to be an obvious mistake (it's possible this is just a sale rather than a mistake). That said, it would be wise not to book accommodation and other related expenses until the dust settles. :)

  • Fantastic find.. Im getting around $732 on Thai for this period, and on its competitor, that flys the Boeing 787 Dreamliner that doesn't require the change, its $1300+.. Well done!

    • What competitor flys the 787 into Australia?

      • +1

        Air India.

Awesome find! If only I was able to get time off work :/

  • Nov 28 sold out from Sydney ..

  • Anything out of Brisbane is more expensive than Singapore airlines. hmmmm :\
Found six hundred something for Melbourne-Delhi. Wanted to visit Kolkata instead :|

  • +1

I have been lenoved and koganed as well!
Hoping they will honor this as the e-tickets have already been issued.
Kids price was only $431.58 (under 11)
So for 3 adults one child - total paid $2191.32

  • +1

i have a feeling this is going to be ozbargained big time.

but there is a possibility of getting Kogan'd as said above.

there are lots of nri's here on ozbargain (including me) and thats the best time to go. worth a shot.

  • Deleted.

  • Sydney to dhaka return shows as 574.46 AUD

(departure 22 nov return 11 dec)

  • Sydney to Chiang Mai to Bangkok to Sydney for $485.

  • Melbourne-Bangkok or Phuket possible for $465

    • I found them to be $1k range.. how did you get $465?

      • May depend on the dates you booked

  • There seem to be minor savings on all flights when booked as multi city. Melbourne-Paris return is not cheap by any standards but the multicity booking reduces the price by $50-$100pp, based on test bookings I tried both within and outside the travel period for this deal. Worth keeping in mind for future travel needs, independent of this deal.

  • +1

Definitely seems to be working for other destinations in South Asia and SE Asia. Departing Melbourne on 14 November and plugging in a few different return dates (eg. 4 December), I found Kathmandu for $555 return, Colombo for just over $600, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vientiane and Bangkok for all under $500. Interestingly, ran some of those options using Skyscanner and prices identified through websites like BYOjet were almost as good, so maybe it's legit. Amazing fares for a full service airline.

  • Sydney - Phuket does not seem to be possible. Anyone found a good date for this?

  • Legend!!!

    Perth - Delhi - Perth = $560

  • +1

Thai is well known for making loss as an airline so there are good chances they will honour these prices.
You all should thank their tax payers as they have been paying for Thai's mistakes for quite some time now.

  • +1

    465 return to Bangkok! Insane

    Great find

  • +1

Why is every city cheaper but Brisbane - Kolkata - Brisbane at $2200? :|

    • +1

      Try inserting a Bangkok stopover.

Edit: argh fat drunk fingers on iPhone accidentally negged the deal. I revoked the neg but can someone + it for me, this is awesome pricing!

  • Departing 14th November Melbourne to Delhi
Arriving 30th November Delhi to Melbourne

After selecting the seats and meal preference, at the check out after entering credit card details, The page crashes, can anyone help me why? Tried several times, it kept saying proxy error!

  • +3

Glad this find has been so popular. Have had some amazing deals from ozbargain and till now havent really had a chance to pay it back.
Cheers all. Fingers crossed we fly.

  • Perth - Bangkok return, $465, thanks!

  • Whats the diff between Culcutta and Kolkata?

    • Nothing. Name changed from Calcutta to Kolkata.

  • +4

same city. Calcutta was colonial name given by the British. The city was renamed to Kolkata in 2001.

  • Will we be thaied? Seems like obvious pruce error

  • Doesn't seem legit to me, must be price error, wait till Monday.

  • +1

This is the needy price ever for India. Phenomenal find OP (or your wife). I go to India every year and the cheapest I have paid is $1050. Just a suggestion to anyone wanting to go to other cities of India, book this flight for Delhi and then use the domestic flights. You can book them here www.makemytrip.com

  • Thanks OP. Awesome find. I was about to book a flight last night through flight center. $1152 in the new dreamliner. glad i waited. Hopefully they honor the prices.

  • Was hoping to get a similar deal to Europe (Amsterdam area) but no dice.

Awesome find for India/SE Asia-goers though.

  • why am I not getting the price !!
I tried Sydney to Mumbai on 28/11 and return from Mumbai to Sydney on 28/12 and getting $2091 on economy restricted.

  • It may looks as price error because when i tried different dates it was showing as $50000 on some for 2 kids and 2 adults. which is awesome price. For other days it is showing the price which is Great bargain.

  • +1

I figured why I was not getting it becasue those days are sold out - if I change the date to 28/10 then I am getting $620 for Sydney-Mumbai-Sydney which is unbeleivable…great find

  • +1

Booked Brisbane to Chiang mai then return from Vientiane, both via Bangkok, $480 return, epic deal hope they honour it!

  • +1

Melbourne return via Bangkok $517.58.Late October. So cheap.

  • Booked. Now the nervous wait begins to check if they would honour it.

  • For those booking, you can actually use the multi booking tool and include a couple of days in Thailand as a stop over and it doesn't charge any extra.

For example I looked at 6th to 13th November Brisbane <-> Mumbai, then changed it to Brisbane -> Thailand 6th, Thailand -> Mumbai 8th, Mumbai -> Brisbane 13th, and it still came up about $550.

Might be worth having a few days in Thailand on the way/way back from India for no extra cost.

  • At booking is everyone using the CC option or confirm and pay at a thai air office?

    • +4

It's best if people pay by CC now rather than getting a real person at Thai involved in the booking at all.

And whatever you do, don't go ringing Thai up asking if the fare is valid or not (as we see so often with pricing error deals around here); letting them know about this is a sure-fire way that this will get pulled quickly, or worse still, getting existing bookings cancelled (even though I think this is unlikely; see my comment above). :)

  • Credit card

  • I used, the thai office option, as i still wanted to check with my boss a leave request. Hope it doesn't give them a chance to cancel my booking.

  • What if i redo the order and pay by credit card now. And just not go to the office?

  • Just gave Brisbane > Dehli for this month a ago - 9,427.94 AUD

Later in the year it was $577.

  • +2

This is one of the best fares I will ever find.. Wish I could avail it but Alas, annual leave won't be approved :(

    • +1

      Same! :'(

  • wondering is it only applied for return fare? Because I tried 1 way with Bangkok as a stop over for 3-4 days to make it a multi-city booking and it doesn't work out the bargained price.

My plan is Mel - Bangkok - Hochiminh City starting around 26-27/9 and the price is apprx $808, way to high if I go by Airasia for $300 :((

Would anyone please help me with this? Million thanks. (tried several stop points like Chiengmai, Vientiane but no positive result as well)

  • awesome find op, we booked for $900 AUD direct for AIR India , this is phenomenal

  • THANKYOU OP!!!

Sydney Chennai in multi city selection cost me $515!!!

  • This deal is insane so thus this post. One of the greatest deal considering the peak time travel during Nov. Truly OZBargained. Booked tkt. Thanks a ton OP.

  • Air India flight from Melbourne to Delhi is direct flight from with no stopovers. According to first batch of travelers who traveled on inaugural Air india flight the service was horrible. Also flight was 2 hours delayed due to operational issues. I heard the service have improved since but I would still prefer Thai even If I have to pay a bit more.

    • +1

Do not EVER fly with Air India….am not joking…they have the crappiest service. :|

  • I just rebooked with Credit Card Syd - BKK - Phuket for family 2 Adults 1 child and 1 infant for $1507. Great deal as we love stopping over in BKK for a few days. I would of rather gone to Colombo, Delhi or Kathmandu but the kids and wife just make it too hard. Just hope now I get no grief for making a booking in which i had to pay at their office as well as no blow back from work for jumping out b

  • Hi Speedracer,

I cant see infant option in the multicity booking page( http://www.thaiairways.com/booking-form/en/multicity.html
    ). please help me here.

    • I have to buy infant sea over the phone or at their office. It is going to be 10% of adult fare plus taxes. Hopefully 10% of the mistaken fare and not the real fare price.

  • +1

Great, never seen Syd- Delhi at that price.

  • For an infant you need to call and add them over the phone I have had to do this before

  • Can anyone confirm if I can book Return ticket from Delhi to Sydney for my relatives ( I am in Sydney ) I will try to find out with Airline office too.thanks op and good luck for those who already purchased( hope not error again)

    • +1

book online via the multicity booking link i posted in 2nd comment. just play around with dates to get good price.

    • Did you manage to book flight from Delhi to Sydney with this price?
I can not get this price from Delhi to Sydney.

      • it works for Syd —> Del . Melbourne —> Karachi etc etc less than $600 for some dates.

but like i said play with the dates.

here's one for Syd —> Del am currently looking at http://goo.gl/kwzam8

        • I might be wrong but I think sydneybargainer and vehle are looking for flights originating in Delhi, ie Del -> Syd return, rather than Syd -> Del return ?

I think the sale is only for flights originating from Australia, but could be wrong.

        • thanks for enlightening me. looks like it only works for flights originating from Australia. also bookings are shown in currency of originating country. INR if you book from india to australia.

        • Yes, I am looking for flight from Del/Mum to Syd for my relatives. I tried with different dates but no luck. As you mention this price might be for flights originating from Australia.

finally booked one for a friend.

    melbourne to delhi return.

    Departure: November 07, 2013
    Return: November 23, 2013.

Booked at $561. even cheaper than the price listed here.

    • I'll be your friend :)

  • Owsome spotting… Thankx loads and made a booking to Colombo for $ 521.17… Yippie….

  • I checked on flightcenter website. From Sydney to India - fare approx $600…

  • You are a legend! Thank you so much. We booked Melb to Delhi on Nov 4 and returning from Mumbai to Melbourne on Jan 2, $638 which we are really happy with because the price starts to really increase in January. It is actually my son who is flying and I put it on my credit card but they say that the passenger has to be the credit card holder unless you fill in a consent form. Has anyone had experience with this?

  • its better to be on the safe side and fill a consent form.

most travel agents also make you fill consent form if you are paying for someone else.

airline tickets bought with stolen cards is one of the most common credit card scams.

  • +2

I booked these cheap flights through Flight Centre today and already have a printed e-ticket from them. It states it is a (promotion) W class fare. Flight Centre also had cheaper prices than the Thai-air website by about $100.

  • $577 Brisbane to Delhi at 26Nov…that's really cheap,I hope they honour the deal.

  • My flight was w class one way and q the other way. I can get ff points on the q flight with US airways. If you haven't joined their program yet, you should do it!!!

I received my eticket by email so it is all good!

  • So.. what's the motivation for people to travel to India?

    • +8

This is ozbargain, price is the only motivation

    • -5

yes, price is good but not real keen on going to india..

      • U r ignored..lol

  • I got V & W fare type. Does anyone have an idea about the luggage allowance for this fare type? The economy fare type gets 20kg but i guess the V/W fare type is the promotional type, not sure if the luggage allowance is the same?

    • My Etkt shows 20K and class is W. The route is SYD to MAA (Chennai)

  • Booked 2 days in Bangkok and 10 in delhi for $600 return :)

Looks like deal is over no cheap prices coming up now !!

  • Any more dates on those specials?

  • So why's it expired?

I miss one day of ozbargain, and can't find any dates from Melb left…

    Hopefully someone can find some!

    • +2

It was a price error which has since been fixed. Won't be any more flights this cheap (from this "sale")

      • Ok, Thanks yaziyo!

Lucky for those who managed to book!
