Thermaltake Water 2.0 Liquid CPU Cooling from $49 + Shipping

130

I have been looking for a liquid cooling solution for my PC, and at these prices I had to get it, even though I was looking at other brands! I went for the Pro model ($6.90 delivery to 4217). Compared to Umart which has the next cheapest I could find for these coolers.

Performer ($49 + shipping) - http://www.centrecom.com.au/thermaltake-water-20-performer-e…
$80 @ Umart

Pro ($69 + shipping) - http://www.centrecom.com.au/thermaltake-water-20-pro-enclose…
$110 @ Umart

Extreme ($89 + shipping) - http://www.centrecom.com.au/thermaltake-water-20-extreme-enc…
$140 @ Umart

Reviews for these products seem good as well.

  • This must be a new version of my Thermaltake Bigwater A80 liquid CPU cooler i bought early last year when i built my Intel Core i5 system. That one has been running fine since it does the job. I paid $79 for it so this price here is good.

  • Sorry, I don't really know much about PC, but would this fit my Asus z87 Gryphon with i5 4670k?

    • yeah mate 1150 socket backwards fit with 1155/1156

  • How does this compare to the Corsair H60?

    • Have a look at this review for the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer. It has temperature comparisons in the review. It lists the Corsair H80 in the list but although not the H60. But i'd say both the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer and Corsair H60 would be about the same.

      • Thanks, got one for a planned Fortress 03 Mini build. Radiator is 27mm thick, which is the same as the H60 so it should be fine.

    • The H60 'should' be on par with the Tt Performer. The Pro and Extreme should do a better job with the thicker/bigger radiators.

According to this the Tt's are better - http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-H60-CPU-Coole…

  • I have the corsair H100….been going strong for 2 years….I haven't been able to melt my CPU yet :-) Think going larger radiator and 2 fans is worth it….even if you have to mount radiator on inside and fans just on the outside of case….. Even on the lowest fan setting, I haven't melted my I7 yet….

    • You'd have to try pretty hard to melt it. They throttle back if temps get too high.

      • Not for those of us who turn all that CPU throttling/power saving crap off in the BIOS and overclock.

  • thanks got the extreme one to put in a chaser mk1 to replace a cm evo 212+

  • does it fit Intel 1150 sockets?

    • yes, apparently it is the same mount as 1156 (of course the CPU socket is different but the cooler mount is the same)

  • I have not tried liquid cooling before so bought the performer because it is cheap to see whether/how it might help quieten my stock i7-3770 as I care more about reducing noise than increasing performance.

  • The Performer has increased to $59 but the Extreme has decreased slightly to $85 and there appears to still be stock.
