Melbourne Aquarium, Adults @ Kids Prices, Tickets - $21.50 (Save $12.70)

540

Hello Ozbargainers,

Been a member of OZB for a while now, saved (and also burnt my pocket) money on heaps of deals.

I am in charge of the travel desk at Space Hotel, 380 Russell St, Melbourne CBD and we have a special running at the moment for Melbourne Aquarium, adults @ $21.50. I thought to post it here as it might be useful for some of you. The travel desk is open Monday - Friday 10 am - 6 pm. So, if you are interested, you can come in person to purchase the tickets. We will give you a voucher with your name on it when you purchase. You simply present the voucher at the door and gain entry. This deal is not limited to particular days or times. As of now, this deal is valid until 30th June 2014 until withdrawn by the Aquarium crew.

We also have lots of discounted products for all trips around Australia and NZ including Great Barrier reef, whistsundays sailing, Fraser Island, Kangaroo Island, campervan hire etc.,

If you have any queries, please let me know.

EDIT: I have now posted an image with the advertised deal.

Are you sure it is $21.50?

on the aquarium website, kids are listed as $22…

      It sure is $21.50.

Wow adults are $38 normally? And kids $22? Why is it so expensive?

I was at the zoo over the weekend, kids were free but it was $26 for an adult. That's more reasonable. A trip to the melbourne aquarium sounds very very expensive :(

    • Children under 4 years go in for free. At least it will not be as expensive now with this deal. They have also introduced a salt water crocodile recently in to the aquarium.

    • Id guess they have less customers here than in Sydney Aquarium.

Maybe its the price? Or maybe people are willing to pay it.

  • +1

Drats. Just went there on Saturday. The aquarium is expensive, but great fun. The 5 metre mega croc was a hit with the kids!

  • I got a voucher from the entertainment book (one complimentary single general admission when another single general admission of equal or greater value is purchased). Can I use this voucher with the pre-purchased ticket from you?

    • I don't think that will be valid with this offer. Usually, offers like these cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

Thanks OP will be fun with the mrs

    • Comment sounds suspicious…

Why, what are you planning on doing? nek minnut news headline 'Lady eaten by 5mtr crocodile at Australian Aquarium…

  • how long will these tickets be available in the travel desk?

    • This offer is available for us to sell until 30th June 2014 unless otherwise withdrawn by the Aquarium crew.

I can't get into Space until a weekend so I won't be able to buy tickets. BTW, you guys have an awesome hotel/hostel living space. Got friends who have stayed there for a few months and I've never seen a better place. Well done

    • Thanks for the feedback. We are a passionate bunch here and we love what we do and one of them is having happy customers.

For all of you who are asking and cannot make it here in person, I can work this out for you. If you are happy to do a bank transfer, I will give our account details. Once the money is transferred, I can track the payment, once received I can email you out the vouchers. This way you don't have to come here in person and can organise from the comfort of your home. Please email me at [email protected] if you have any further queries.

Many thanks OP - can we get this via the web or do we need to come to the store? As an Ozbargainer out in the country it would be a weekend trip to go and just need to organise extra time to pick up tickets. Unless you can organise a great accommodation package to go with the aquarium tickets…. :)

    • I wish I can do some deals for accommodation but we sell out every single weekend. But you never know, so watch this space.

So, Melbourne Aquarium: $21.50 + public transport to the city.

Waikiki Aquarium: $12 + approx $1150 return flight Melbourne to Honolulu.

Hmmm… I'd prefer to the latter to be honest… but will have to settle for the local for this year :)

I went twice to the Waikiki Aquarium in Feb with the kids, and it is small compared to the Melbourne one. Our one here is extremely good. I would expect to pay a lot less for Waikiki compared to Melbourne. Though in an ideal world I would like to pay a lot less for the Melbourne one!

      • Haven't been to the Waikiki one, but has anyone been to the Baltimore one? That's awesome!

  • Rep, do you have a website or listing of any of your other tourism specials?

    • I am sorry to say that we don't have a listing with the specials. If and when you have a query regarding your travel plans, please email me and will let you know if there are any specials or any possible discounts I can do for you.

  • Hi Rep,

I am wondering if you have any similar deal for Eureka Skydeck?

    Thanks

    Mal
