      At the 'factory' live a couple of dozen grannies from Loompaland, which is a region of Loompa, a small isolated area in West Africa. The plums are all peeled by hand and then mixed by waterfall before cooking and bottling…

        not sure about a waterfall but yes the fruit is hand-picked and hand-processed in a domestic environment, ie. houses not homes, hence labelled home-style not home-made in some markets…

        and whilst oompa loompa land is in nsw, the jam is actually made in serbia :)

        Yes I too saw that this product is fully imported from Serbia, I try where possible to support Australian fruit growers, although it is getting harder and harder to find Australian made and grown products.

    I think the secret ingredient has something to do with the lemon juice - a yellowish, acidic, aromatic liquid

  Gotta say that Granny sure knows how to make jam. 80% fruit? Compare that with say Cottees where you'll find 80% sugar (although the labeling cleverly disguises that)
