Free Paris Transit Tour [First 200 Bookings] ~$90 AUD value

440
PTT2013ADP

Found this whilst on the CDG airport website. (http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/services/…). It's no use for me, but I put in the discount code and it seems to still work. A ozbargain'er might find it handy!

Looks like it leaves at 11am and comes back at 4pm every-day.

Enjoy!

    Sweet, thanks mate.

Will be at CDG on the 30th December, flight isn't until 8pm, so perfect timing!

Glad to hear I've helped someone already :)

        :)

Just hope you don't need any sort of boarding pass or air ticket, I'm not flying with Air France.

It only says ID or Passport required though.

The deal is sponsored by the regional tourist council & the airport - so it doesn't have anything to do with Air France from the looks of it.

"Boarding the coach may only be made on presentation of the booking confirmation in paper format. A printer is essential to complete a reservation. You can buy your ticket at the Tourist information in Paris-CDG if you don't have a printer.

BTW, it means ;Booking confirmation; of the Coach service. Not 'airfare' confirmation.

Passengers are responsible for obtaining the appropriate VISA to get through customs. City Vision can not be held responsible for a possible refusal on the French territory."

        • Sweet, thanks dude!

Will have to make sure I get up early and get to the airport that morning, basically going from City to Airport, back into city, then to airport and flying away!

        • What's the cheapest way to get to the airport from Paris City? I will be there on 31 Dec :) Cheers.

          Most importantly, thanks OP!

          @nj8842

The RER B commuter train is probably the cheapest option, but it suffers from overcrowding so it might not be the most pleasant option if you have lots of bags: http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Access-ma…

        • I am not normally a fan of buses but if you have bags and will be staying near Opera I recommend this bus as taking large bags and suitcases and changing on the Metro is a pain.

          10 Euro each way.

          http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Access-ma…

        • To go to the airport from Paris for the purpose of taking this tour and then being returned to the airport to then return to Paris will be a bit of a grind.
That's a 20 euro return fare and 1hour of time.
IMHO, it would be better to buy a hop-on, hop-off ticket on a city tour bus and get as much time as you like at each stop.

        • [whytd] so it doesn't have anything to do with Air France from the looks of it.

"For Air France passengers, special offer"

        • would you know the price of the hop-on , hop-off city tour bus by any chance ?

        • +1

          No, but here you go:
          http://lmgtfy.com/?q=paris+tours+hop+on+hop+off+bus&l=1

          AU$39 converts to EUR28.
So for EUR8 more than the return trip to the airport, get 2 days to use the pass, stay as long as you like at each stop, and avoid the 1 hour of travel time.

        • @roughana

I'm actually flying out on the same day if you were referring to me :)

I used to work there a few years back. Transport from CDG to downtown is terrible. Bus is slow due to traffic even outside peak hour. RER is normally more reliable and cheaper. If u have big bags, maybe hire locker (not sure now if they still offer it though, for security reason). I'd say u have to spare 1.5 hour each way, to be sure, if ur having flight to catch.

  • Hi , thanks for the post . My wife and my daughter will be in Paris at the end of Nov , but they will be travelling by Eurostar , can they still take the tour if they go to the airport and without any air ticket from Paris airport ?

    • +1

I'm sure they can. Theres nothing on the webpage that states you need to hold a boarding pass or actually be 'in transit'.
