I concur with OP, easily the best tuna. I'll be slamming the local Coles' shelves this weekend.

Thanks for the heads up Mr Arse.

Cheers OP, this'll go great with the Connoisseur Ice Cream that's also going to be on sale.

Cookies 'n' Cream 'n' Tuna FTW!

In the SA catalogue the special is 3 for $8, no fair :(

    • I believe you'll find it at Foodland Romeos for this price. Sale ends tomorrow though.

    • No!

The Aldi brand 'Ocean Rise - Yellowfin Chunk' Tuna cans are styled exactly the same.

They cost $2 everyday and taste as good as the Sirena Tuna.

I believe Aldi is getting this particular tuna can from Sirena and rebadging it.

    • someone needs to do a side by side test!

Don't you mean a blind test?? What good is a side by side test?!?! Lol

        Excellent, true bargain then

  • Nostromo tuna is the best tuna. You can find them in Euro fruit & veg store.

  • Nothing wrong with buying a product that has a halal logo would you have an issue of it was kosher?

    • hah yeah, when people started complaining about halal, I wondered if they knew that they ate a lot of kosher food.

you don't like Halal, don't buy food that is halal, its called market forces.

If then local butcher has customers that prefer halal, why wouldn't he go halal.

  • Sirena is not the most environmentally friendly provider of tuna. They use the yellowfin genus which is overfished and numbers are depleting considerably.

but by god they are delicious .. I'll be raiding coles shelves on Wednesday morning for sure. ;)

  • Where is Sirena tuna made? How about the others? Thanks.

  • Love sirena tuna. The one with the chilli infusing the oil.

  • If it's a 24 hour Coles, does the special start at 1 minute past midnight?

  • Damn you people are quick. All that was left were 2 cans of springwater and 2 cases of untouched Bean variety. Weirdly no one touched the connoisseur ice cream.

Thanks for post stocked up 96 cans all in chilli oil my fave. If you can't find on shelf ask a worker to check in the back might get lucky. Oh and 3 tubs of the connoisseur ice cream.

Cleared out illawong, got 250 Italian style and 24 chilli. Cheers OP

    • How many rellies have you? 250 = 1 decent size fish

    • The Italian style must be nice is there any flavouring added to it ?

  • damn not confident of going in after work now, forgot last night.

  • Hmmmmm Sierna and Connoisseur, just what I need to create my fish milkshakes.

  • anyone know how hot the chilli ones are? i only took 2 chillis just in case

    • meh unless its an Asian product you can probably assume its mild.
