BOGOF (2-for-1) HOSELINK Premium Ned Kelly Starter Kit + FREE SHIPPING ($37.90)

2240

Other Offers including a Hose available as well

Hello Ozbargainers,

We were curious to see what all this Click Frenzy fuss was about, so we thought we would put our most popular garden hose connection set on sale.

This would be the perfect Christmas gift for one or two gardeners in your life!

Great stocking stuffer on the off chance that you know an adult gardener who still gets a stocking from Santa. We're not judging!

If you're curious to see what HOSELINK is all about, I recommend checking out the following 30 second clip:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-E0lggs1q8&feature=c4-overv…

Each set includes everything needed to connect both ends of the hose and is guaranteed to never burst-off, even in areas with exceptionally high water pressure (Sydney). They fit all standard garden hoses (12mm ID), any standard tap (3/4 or 1 inch) and work with all existing watering accessories.

The fittings are exceptionally durable, leak-free and feature a 3-year warranty. That said, we would expect them to last a lot longer than that due to the fact that they are made from nylon which is much denser than the ABS plastic commonly used. This means they don't break down in UV like ABS and no moving parts means they don't wear out over time. In fact, we have many customers who purchased our hose fittings when they first came out 10 years ago and continue to use the same set, transplanting them from hose to hose.

The included all-metal spray gun is heavy duty and designed to be serviced (threads pre-tapped to allow for disassembly & maintenance) should it clog up over time (commonly due to calcification and small lizards getting into the hose).

"What about brass?" you ask! Brass is great, and we use it in many of our connections (from/to pressure washers, tap-splitters, etc). Unfortunately, we have found (and our customers commonly report) that the typical brass quick-connect design still bursts off. This is due to the small grabbers inside being made of plastic and the quick connect design being generally flawed. The Hoselink Bayonet connection simply will not come apart (as demonstrated in the commercial where we tow a truck with the hose and fittings). In addition, brass can calcify over time, where nylon typically does not.

If you have any questions, please post below and I will be quick to respond.

Cheers,
Beau

P.S. Yes, I know the sale says 50% off and that it really is a "Buy One Get One Free" (BOGOF), but that's how it was suggested we phrase it for the purposes of click frenzy. Crazy marketing boffins, why can't we just call it what it is?!

EDIT: I just noticed there has been much more interest in our second offer which is 30% off a hose, starter kit and hose hanger - all for $66.45 (FREE DELIVERY). Click the link for details.

EDIT 2: Ozbargainers are asking for a longer hose without a bracket - I recommend seeing the following hose which is on sale and is fantastic:
http://www.hoselink.com.au/buy/35m-ultra-6-hose-unfitted/483…

EDIT 3: This is OzBargain insanity! Thanks for all the great feedback and I promise to get you guys something good in the future exclusive to OzBargain

YET ANOTHER EDIT: I've opened the offers up for a little extra time to give any stragglers a chance to pick it up. That said, when I get into the office this morning, we may need to put a stop to this OzBargain madness. It's good madness, but madness none the less!

This is part of Click Frenzy deals for 2013

      • Please PM me your order number and I would be happy to look into it for you.
Typically, we get all orders out the door same day or the next, so I would expect the tracking number to show something by now.
        Thanks for your patience.

  • My fastway tracking number is an old tracking number it says

    Signature obtained

    • That's bizarre!
Please PM me your order number and I'll look into it for you.
Sometimes there can be a lag between the pickup from our warehouse and the first tracking scan, but there should never be an old tracking result.
If there is an issue, I would like to get it sorted out straight away.
      Thanks for your patience.

Got mine today. It's been raining all day though so I didn't get a chance to use it.

Just bought one as I'm moving to a house, hopefully will be useful. Love the auto rewind hose reel idea.

Mine just arrived this morning, Saturday?? Oh well, whatever, I'm rapped! :)

Just wanted to say, mine was delivered on Friday. Installed it today. Solid quality. Worth the price.

  • I just noticed I need 2 adapters before I can use my hoselink kit :(

Given that those adapters are the weak link it's probably best to replace 2 taps to the screw-on (threaded) type, although thats about $60 right there.

Meh, might go see if Bunnings have any that won't break the bank.

    • the kit comes with the tap end(with screw on connection to tap fitting) and spray end (with swivel adapter for spray nozzle) connections to the hose so what do you need an adapter for?

      • They don't work with this style of tap:
        http://www.fixatap.com.au/uploads/original/232229.jpg

But I didn't realise how cheap threaded taps are, so I'll just go buy those and I should be right.

I've got that as well. I've ended up replacing the nozzle-end with the Hoselink one and kept the other one with the original hose connector. So far there hasn't been any catastrophic failures yet!

Got part of my order today, the hose, but hope the rest of the order - the weeder and car wash brush turns up as it is all one the one order, one tracking number, once courier company. I won't worry just yet lol but have to say impressed with the look of the hose ;-)

      Hello and thanks for purchasing!
The car brush is fantastic and should be on its way.
I believe that these items would have been on a seperate consignment due to being a bit bulky, but it you email us your order number to [email protected] we will double check to make sure this is the case.

Got my order about 5 days ago. Couldn't keep it until Christmas so I gave it to Mum early. She was so pleased. She has wanted a decent hose system for a long time and comments every time there's an ad on TV for Hoselink. I thought she was gonna cry. She was THAT happy.

Thanks Hoselink for your great product and discount. Hopefully you can do it again in the future. :)

Ours arrived yesterday (Tassie) and I hooked it up this morning. Mine was also intended as a Xmas gift, but wanted to cheer her up with an early gift.
Works well and she's very happy.

Looking forward to more Hoselink deals ;)

+1 or maybe +99 for the store rep. He's been tireless with his monitoring of this thread and answering. The willingness to listen, answer and voluntarily look into possible problems is so unusual these day I feel we should celebrate it when we find it.

    My hoses arrived Sunday
I was so excited I unwrapped mine and spread it out
I was using the gurney and thought I would use it with the hose later that day
I was very disappointed that I couldn't connect it to the gurney
I needed to buy another part
It is not expensive but given that I use the hose to apply garden feed etc
I thought it should be included in the basic pack with the cost added
My fault for not researching properly
So , now I have done all the work with my old hose and have to wait to order the part and have it delivered
    Being an oz bargain person
I hate the thought of paying for delivery when if I had realised I could have ordered the extra fitting for the 3 hoses and not had to pay for delivery or wait to use the hose
    Lesson learnt

    • Hello and thank you for your purchase!
Sorry I hadn't responded sooner on here, haven't check in a while.
The reason we don't include the click on adapters with the starter kits is that when we used to include these pieces, customers assumed that if it was included they had to use it. Asa result, received many calls about missing an extra piece to attach the fittings to the gun. Or, if they were to find the extra piece needed to use the click on, they would complain that it would leak or burst off (the click on adapter does not carry the "no-burst guarantee").

For your gerni, you will likely need a tap connector (female thread on gerni). PM me your email address and I'll set the order up in the system for you and waive the postage fee.

      Cheers,
      Beau

  • has anyone from WA received theirs yet?
