      V.me has split their promotion over 2 days. So far, they've sold 132 of these and they're still going. I can only asume there will be the same amount of iTunes cards as the $20 gift cards.

    Not this V.me crap again. Exact same scam from their sister site COTD birthday sale. Free itune card just sign up and pay with V.me. On the day, the website is overloaded. V.me doesnt even work as a payment method. Probably had 5 card up for sale.
    Not worth wasting hours for a $10 itune card.

        As it was with the Catch of the Day 7th birthday sale.
        When the crappy deal is on, the site and V.me work fine.
        When the good deal hit, $298 ipad mini, free itune card, V.me went dead and the site is inaccessible.

          I was very lucky to get a free iTunes card from scoopon a while back (not vme) but I agree with highdealer that the page took forever to load and you had to be very lucky to get one.

          Agreed, not sure why people have a cry when companies offer items for free and not every single person gets one. It's more of a lucky dip arrangement, if you manage to get one score, if you don't better luck next time.

          I am not crying because i didnt get one. I never have to buy anything on Itune so it is useless for me anyway.
          That is not the point. The point of ozbargain is to share deal that is easily accessible to most people. If you need luck to score a deal then that fall more into the competition category. And as far as i know competition and lottery are not a deal and deserve a neg.

          Should i be posting free competition entry as a bargain because you will have a better chance of winning a competition than getting these free card.

          Fair point on the Competition angle (highdealer). To be fair, when I scored two free $10 iTunes cards on a similar deal, there was no Pre-announcement of cards being available; I got them on account of an OzB post everyone else seemed to be surprised by.

          But we're engaging in a slippery slope debate here. I would still rather know this is going down than not knowing, since it's scoopon after all, not something with more contestants, like X-Loto.

        I admit it. My assumption about scoopon was wrong. My apology to Scoopon and V me. They really pull it together and prove me wrong. Their server was smooth throughout the sale and stock control was very good. Seem like Vme is legitimately trying to promote their service, though Cotd and scoopon are not the best company to deal with.

        And i dont understand why you are so defensive about the deal. Pressuring people to upvote it, asking for vote. Really?

        The deal is looking legit now but keep in mind nobody actually receive any card yet. It is scoopon we are dealing with and thing might still possibly go wrong. Hell they charge me $1 for no reason. Like WTF. http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/60750/19788/untitled.pn…

          I see what you mean, Scoops & V.me are less than reputable (but still young), hence your reluctance to take the deal at face-value.

          Personally, I've redeemed a very similar deal to this, without any problems.

          As for Tightarese being "defensive" in the comment section; your comments (since recanted) and others went a long way in having him defend himself (personally i didn't think he was defensive, rather more "you'll see").

          Albeit i'm a lifelong friend of Tightarse (completely untrue), i want to thank him for scoring me more free iTunes credit, with minimal effort.

          Thanks Jorkus, you summed it up nicely. The truth of the matter is some are just so negative before things have a chance to play themselves out - especially when something is free. Scoopon really got it right for this deal and they should be applauded.

          And as for highdealer's comment that I pressured people to upvote the deal… how could I possibly pressure anyone? My comment, which has since been removed by the moderator, was along the lines of - "To all the doubters, I hope you now upvote the deal". Is there something wrong with that? If there is, I apologise.

          Anyway, I'll just keep on doing what I love and that is finding bargains.

    My order's in. It said my Mastercard that I saved on v.me was invalid, so I selected Add Payment Method, put the same card details in and it worked. Strange.
