Well, I was heading to the Bondi store today. Looks like I'm screwed

    • +2

How can you be screwed without the screws?

      • +2

Likely they screwed up the pricing.

        • +37

Well maybe you should go back there, torque to someone and give them a drilling

        • if thats the case, someone working in kmart will be screwed

        • You nailed that!

        • +3

I did see the manager about this - his name was Philip.

I had a box of the screws in my hand, and we got into such a heated discussion about this, I ended up losing my cool and threw the box at…

          …Philip's head.

  • cheap screws!

If only Craig Thomson had shopped at KMart.

    • Kmart: where the screws cost even less than the Cherry Ripes.

  • Sell on eBay for 1c each for $3.55 profit (7,100 %).

    • Broden ;)

So I went into K-mart and asked where the cheap screws were. They kept giving me funny looks. :\

    • +4

The store you are looking for is Lay-mart.

      @pacman21
I went into JB hifi and said "excuse me, I'm looking for Friends…."
Took the salesperson a minute to realise I wanted the box set of the television show rather than a new mate…

  • Bargain of the day for sure. Let's hope I'm wrong though!

I briefly thought that k-mart was diversifying its business

  • I thought $2 sucky sucky was a bargain. But 5 cents for a screw is even better

    • $2 Sucky Sucky?
Wow. I want to know and dont want to know at the same time.

  • +1

All jokes aside, don't expect these to last in heavy use.
You will probably end up with stripped heads everywhere.

    • +11

You say all jokes aside, and then talk of stripping?

    • I don't know about you, but when I screw things, I do it right the first time.

    • -1

your username must not be a joke too… ?

    Screw this.. it's a bargain.

In the Summer of 1958 Robby goes to pick up his date. He's a pretty cool guy with his own car. When he goes to the front door, the girl's father answers and invites him in. "Carrie's not ready yet, so why don't you have a seat?" he asks. "That's cool," says Robby. Carrie's father asks Robby what they're planning to do. Robby replies politely that they will probably just go to the soda shop or a movie. Carrie's father responds, "Why don't you two go out and screw? I hear all the kids are doing it." Naturally, this comes as a quite a surprise to Robby, so he asks Carrie's Dad to repeat it. "Yeah," says Carries father, "Carrie really likes to screw, she'll screw all night if we let her!" Well, this just made Robby's eyes light up, and immediately revised his plans for the evening. A few minutes later, Carrie comes downstairs in her little poodle skirt and announces that she's ready to go. Almost breathless with anticipation, Robby escorts his date out the front door. About 20 minutes later, a thoroughly disheveled Carrie rushes back into the house, slams the door behind her, and screams at her father: "DAMMIT, DADDY! THE TWIST!! IT'S CALLED THE TWIST!!!"

  • 5c for 360 pieces? Wow. That's fab.

Plenty of lose screws in Bondi.

    • Plenty of cheap screws in Bondi.

    • loOse screws too :-)

  • +2

Perfect for stopping the end of caulking gun nozzles!

Cheapest screws from KMart in a long time, considering I dated a girl from KMart before and got NOTHING!!! Mind you, it wasn't in Bondi.

    • LOL

  • Love your enthusiasm.

  • +1

No cheap screws at my local Kmart unfortunately only 120 piece packs for $2.

  • "Be back later honey, they give out good, cheap screws down at K-mart…"

  • Should I be able to drive these screws quickly, or does it have to be done at a slow speed? Usually, I have to drill really SLOW with cheap screws, and use the bit that has little grips on the tip that help prevent them from coming loose.

    • Always make sure you're using the right size driver, especially with cheap screws. If it's not a tight fit, it'll just give you grief.

    • +2

With cheap screws you're better off going at it as fast as you can. Then leg it outside back to your car. You don't want to be spending the night in Logan.

NO STOCK of this 5cent item at K Mart in Joondalup WA. The rack where they would be has the new barcode ones for $6, and they all look like they have been shifted all over the place (I suppose someone looking for this barcode item). So Joondalup has already been OzBargained.

  • +1

You all beat me to the best jokes…
