I got this on the last deal and it was worth every penny. Such a good keyboard.

It's even nicer without the o-rings. Took me a while to pull them out just using my fingers but it's really worth it. The o-rings IMO make the keyboard feel and sound somewhere between a membrane and mechanical keyboard. Without them it feels sharper, more tactile and the sound is crisper. You can try to take them out of the number pad first and decide then before taking out all the others. I keep them in a baggie inside the keyboard box, but from what I read they aren't needed for a warranty claim anyway.

It makes me sad that I will have to draw this post to an end which will temporarily stop the sound and feel of the very crisp feeling cherry mx browns without the o-rings which I happened to get on sale thanks to ozbargain.

      The end, sadly.

  • Great price for a great keyboard. It feels like I'm floating on clouds when I'm typing on it.

Learn to not bottom out and its a better experience

You could not go back to usign a doem keyboard ever again
    You'd smash the thing lol

G710+ is very nice expecially with the included o-rings on each switch

  • Are there any wireless gaming keyboards? Preferably Logitech.

Recently picked up Swtor and playing it on my Asus UX31A (lol). Need a decent gaming keyboard so I don't ruin my ultrabook one. Nothing too High end. Found a Logitech mk710 for $74…that suitable?

    • I've got an mk710 keyboard and really didn't like it (i still use the mouse though, very comfortable). I use a $10 Microsoft OEM KB now instead… i'm looking for a Mechanical to replace it and i might buy one of these G710+.

I think the problem with a wireless gaming KB is lag (from what i've been told, i could be wrong). Why bother getting a wireless gaming keyboard if it'll just add to latency?

      • I would get wired but I'm worry about the wear and tear on the use since I'll be disconnecting and reconnecting every time I bring my laptop to uni.

        • Get a usb hub then.

        • The USB plugs on the G710+ are probably the most solid thing plugged into my PC right now aside from the power cable. Wouldn't worry about wear and tear (especially since I have a crummy cheap KB at work that I probably plug/unplug 5+ times a day, hasn't busted after 2 years of use like that).

  • Did a click and collect, so hopefully i've secured one!

Been waiting to upgrade from my G105 for a while. Can't wait to switch to Mechanical.

  • Got mine back when HN had them on sale for the same price. Worth every cent. Incredible how big the difference is between a membrane and a mechanical. Though fair warning, it's a bit of a dust magnet compared to my old G105.

  • Just picked one up and am using it to type this message right now! Thanks!
