      Complain that they are giving it away to others for free and you don't see why you should be sponsoring everyone else.

    this isnt free. they just let you take a peek inside of the site. After you receive a password to login to the site, if you see anything that you might want to read, you would need to upgrade. Neg for me

    They are a Fairfax publication. Every Fairfax newspaper I've read is still incensed by Tony Abbott winning a democratic election, and it's impossible for even business writers to remain objective when your organisation- from the top down- continues a daily "Get Abbott and the Liberals!" mindset.

        You're right. The Australian would at least attempt to appear objective. Fairfax publications these days are only a small step up from a university rag.

      Are you kidding? I have a Saturday AFR subscription and it is so pro Liberal and anti Labor it isn't funny.

        As a full week subscriber i can definitely say the the AFR has moved to the right in recent years.
        Perhaps it was the rhinehart influence - buying a chunk of shares etc etc.
        The afr size as diminished of late too with fewer pages and articles.
        However the drop in quality is not as pronounced as at the age where experienced journos oh higher pay scales were dropped in favour of recent graduates and a greater focus on lifestyle issues rather than news or investigative journalism.

        Murdochs australia, hun etc are so right wing they barely pass for news thesedays. Just bile and right wing propaganda.
        Not even worth $10 a month.

    just signed up. it says my anniversary date is 23/04/2014. i assume this deal is not just for summer, but rather it is infact a deal for 3 months free?
