Same deal as last month. All you need to do is enter your detail and you will recieve $4 Mobile SIM card free of charge from Optus.

Once you’ve received your SIM:

For DATA BLASTER PLAN:
Activate Discliamer¹ your SIM card online, choose Data Blaster and then recharge a minimum $30 before June 21st, 2009 to receive 500 free SMSDiscliamer² before June 21st, 2009

For Other Plan:

Activate your sim, choose your plan and get $4 credit to use.

    Last time i got this I didn't get anything with it. S'posed to get 20 SMS. What do you expect for free huh? Tnx for nothing Optus and there's no way you'll be charging me your stupid skyhigh rates.

      Well it just depend on which plan you choose when you activate it. Last time I chose 'Every Now n Then', gives me 6 month to use it. Hope that help.

    Does anyone know if you can receive messages without putting any credit on these free sims?

    This way you could take advantage of the free 225 SMS by smsglobal that was posted earlier.

      You can recieve and send SMS with $4 worth. Also at the top I also mention the new data blaster plan which gives you 500 sms free. Just depend on the plan you choose to go on to. Some give you 30 days expiry credit ($4) or even 60 days or 186 days. I might update with the plan link so people can get a better idea.

          yea that right, 500 sms free no catch. Remember data blaster plan has 30 days credit expiry. So you have to use it within 30 days or you can recharge to extend the expiry date.

            You need to spend $30 before you can get 500SMS.

            @puchipucca: So what do they get out of it if they lose 500 sms (or $125 worth)? I'm assuming they will hope most people will recharge?

            Also can you sign up for multiple sims under fake names? Or isn't this possible due to them checking it at the post office?

              @ih8parties: Don't think you get away with fake name mate as you need to show them your ID @ Post office.

                @POWERevolution: Last time I just got it in the letterbox (even though registered post), no-one asked me anything.
                One note - it was a real hassle registering this when I did decide to give it a go, and then the recharge didn't go through at first, but for free who's complaining!

              @ih8parties: Depends, last time I received them the postman got off his bike and just asked me to sign it… didn't ask for ID and I got two that I requested

              I posted it on a couple forums and other members told me the postman just chucked it in their letter box…

    ih8parties, yes u can receive incoming calls and sms . so once you activate it just sign up at smsgobal and get your free 225 sms like i did.
