DSE's site really gives me the shits. Went to purchase some Eneloop XX AA, which state home delivery as an option, but when I add it to my cart, I can't choose home delivery, only click and collect.

two days ago when I was in TGG Rockdale, I came at 1PM only two left, about 10 was sold. I bought one then come backup to pickup, the last one is sold as well. I can see lost of ppls buying TV, Sony, Samsung and LG, look like LG sold more than Sony.

Placed order at 9.44pm last night. Got the confirmation shipping around 8.15am this morning.
I'm guessing shipping may vary based on the efficiency of the warehouses state to state, unless the warehouse is centralised, maybe someone closed to Dickie could comment?

lucky, dick smith trolled me with a fake tracking number. turns out they never sent the tv to me. after phone calls and a bit of pushing, they finally sourced stock from Erina and hopefully it'll be delivered to me…tomorrow or Monday. argh.
Same here, never saw this thread as I had got the shipping mail. Today when I mailed them they told TV was never sent and now the TV is out of stock. Seriously shocking :(, I even got a TV Unit and BD Player :@
they should have stock in certain stores. you should try push them to send stock directly from stores instead. that's what they "tried" to do anyway on thursday, telling me that they've sent out the tv directly from Erina.

Keep in mind if you receive stock from the store you may receive a floor model. It has happened to me before.
So…Friday they told me they'll call me on Saturday to confirm status of my order. Saturday I never got a response. Sunday morning they tell me my order was cancelled on Friday.
I asked if I could get stock from a store and they told me because my order was cancelled I'll need to pay for it again (since a refund is being "processed" already."
I would have to buy it for $997 instead of $674 when I initially bought it. I had to also make my own way to pick it up myself.
Never gonna buy from Dick Smith again. There's a lot more competent online retailers out there who actually manages to communicate with their customers more consistently and deliver their products fast and promptly. (Bought a fridge at appliances online in the at 6pm, fridge arrives next day 7:30am.)
So… I'm in the same boat as some others. This has been the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I am extremely frustrated and consider my options for pursuing this via fairtrade/ACCC.
I received the same email as many others informing me that my order had been shipped. After a few days the shipping reference was still invalid, so I phoned the online support number and after waiting for a long time on hold, hung up. At a different time of day another day I tried to phone again and there was still no answer for a very long time.
I decided to send a message via their website 'contact us' form which received no reply. I tried the 'contact us' form again a few days later and again didn't receive any reply (to this day there has been no reply to either query via the online form).
Some people were getting responses via the Dick Smith facebook page, so I decided to give it a try. Finally, a response followed by a missed call on my mobile. The voicemail informed me that the order would be shipped from a W.A store the next day. The next day I asked via facebook to be provided the tracking details as I had not received any shipping advice. This request was ignored. 4 days later I asked for the tracking details again, and again I was ignored. The following day I made a more demanding post on the facebook page and was told to let them know if it had not arrived by the end of the day (still no tracking details provided). The next day I informed them via facebook that my order had not arrived the previous day and (surprise, surprise) I was ignored.
It is now well past when the shipment was expected to arrive and still have not heard anything more from Dick Smith. I strongly suspect the order was not shipped from W.A., in which case I have been falsely informed that the order has been shipped twice. I suspect Dick Smith is stalling while they back order stock. I have wasted hours of my time trying to get answers from Dick Smith and am no better off than when I started.
PS. I apologise for how poorly this post is written.

Price matched Harvey Norman (it's $666 on their website), worked out to be 599.4 for the iPad Air 32G WiFi. Not bad imo.

After my call to DSE cancel my gifts cards yesterday since it was not coming on time, funny enough it arrived today in my inbox.. I did have a "click and collect" on the mac I wanted and called the shop to ensure it was still sitting there - and to my :) it was waiting for me.. So, printed the vouchers and got my Mac at approx 18% of street price.. who said Mac is expensive ;)
moral of the story: do not trust the DSE customer service person - they have absolutely no clue!

Same Ugly story here, got email saying that item was shipped on Monday and now today after complaining that tracking is still not working, they wake up and say the item was never shipped and now is not in stock and item has been discontinued. Really disappointing when I can see the TV is in stock in so many locations around DSE stores in Australia.
I am taking everything via emails and in writing and will make sure I get the TV delivered to me.
and…dick smith cancelled my order without telling me. I was promised a response Saturday after all the calls on Friday. never called me. I called on Sunday and was told the order was cancelled on Friday. Not going to buy from Dick Smith ever again.
