At 75% off these hampers are appropriately priced now.

  • Nice deal but I've had a look and I'd say nothing jumped out at me as being an absolute bargain.

The Oxfam FAIR stuff looked pretty good.

Some of the gift hampers appeared to be priced at about what I'd value the contents…

  • Is anyone else being charged $15 each item to be delivered? I'm in SA.

    • Im being charged 15$ shipping per item as well (wa)…………..
      $210 shipping!!!!

    • $10/item in NSW…

  • Delivery really kills it. $15 delivery for 2 items totalling $20.

    Saucy threesome anybody?
EDIT: For those that are fishing for negs, it's just a harmless JOKE. :)

  • Does anyone know how pickup works?

I clicked the checkout, coupons, delivery & pickup help link down the bottom, but I can't see any information regarding pickup on the page that opens.

    • +1

It would seem that you can't pickup gift items, only grocery items (the gift items would probably come straight from the main warehouse, not your local stores like grocery items do)

      • +2

        Thanks hamza.

And to those who negged my question, why?

  • Don't Woolworths have a free delivery code or provide one for new customers?

    • +2

They advertise it on TV - your first three orders delivered free (or something)….

  • +1

    Ridiculous delivery prices

  • +3

Okay it shows $15 delivery initially, then when you proceed it charges you $15 per item :/

    Dodgy

    • Wow insane delivery.
Must be based on the assumption that they will go as gifts to multiple addresses.

  • Seriously, thats pathetic! Thought i was getting a bargain but then got a $135 delivery charge for 9 items.
    They can keep it!

  • This would be an awesome deal if you could click and collect, but it's not so….there.

  • Are these items in-store too?

EDIT: oh grief, it's charging me per item still. Stupid system.

    • +1

Good point Captain, has anyone checked in-store?
I know I saw some of these items.

  • Excellent prices but the delivery fees sting hard.

  • +9

I honestly believe that the high delivery fees are enough to neg this deal

  • -1

It's not charging me a delivery fee - I've never shopped at Woolworths online, and I inputted my rewards card code.

    • You might be on to something there…

      • I've never shopped online with them and entered my card number, still coming with insane charges…

  • +1

    damn. $230 delivery fee

  • +1

I was trying to get some of these this morning but $10 each item shipped in Sydney is a profanity rip off

    Hence, no deal

  • +2

I'm sorry but any deal that charges absurd delivery fees like this has NO place on Ozbargain.com.au

  • +2

Most woolies, reject shops and kmart stores have whats left of their Christmas stock at 75% off. I picked up some roses chocolates for $2 at kmart and some gift bags for 10c at reject shop. No need to pay delivery when you can just cruise the stores and see where the bargains are.

A Jamie Oliver big boy bbq -was $60 now $15. This is a good saving and may be worth the postage price.

    • +1

      Sold out.

      • I was still able to add one to my cart.

  • Fyi - Saw some of these items including nandos bbq kits in our local store and prices were around double these online prices still so with postage similar.

  • +3

    $15 normal price.
    75% off - $3.75
    Add Delivery Fee of $15

    Total = $18.75

So $6.25 for a 125ml bottle of Nandos sauce.

    Normal price is $3.45

Fairtrade gift pack including coffee and teas. $15 +$10 postage. originally $60

  • +1

    $270 delivery WTF

  • +1

Agree - no deal due to delivery fees. Won't neg - think others have made their point.

  • It's $10 per item! no deal.

  • How much does delivery cost?

The delivery fees for hampers are a flat fee per item per delivery address. We currently do not offer an express delivery service.

Our fees for delivery to each state are as follows:

Delivery to NSW or ACT = $10 per item

    Delivery to QLD/ VIC/ SA/ TAS/ WA or NT = $15 per item

Gift Card: Postage and handling for gift cards is $2.

  • Bad, bad deal. Wait till tomorrow morning and walk in to your local store, to check what Christmas gear is on special.

    • Shipping is the 'bad deal'. Might head into my local to have a look as well. :)

    • E.g the bbq set was $3.70 online and in store was $7.50.

      • Yep but "free delivery" in store makes it a lot cheaper in store…

  • Perfect! I wanted to get my new tenants a gift basket. $50 basket (reduced to 12.50) delivered for $27.50. Works out ok for what I want it for.

  • sneaky by Woolies

    • +1

Yet you give them a + vote?

      • Well obviously I only saw the postage after I voted..

  • a big fail here… maybe they think they can recoup the fuel offers by charging "gifting" a premium

    • I think they have recouped the fuel offers by jacking up the price by 20c/l.

  • postage too expensive

  • +4

Delivery now $3 an item down from the original $15

  • Just ordered one now :)

$12.50 down from $50, with the $3 delivery.

  • -1

If you are a new customer you get free delivery on your first order

  • Thanks, OP. Placed my order now that delivery Is only $3@. Might have gone a bit overboard as I ordered 11 different gift packs - total of $128 including delivery :-).

    • +1

you should have kept going until this kicked in:

      "Bulk Order Discounts:

Order all your gifts in one transaction and get a discount when you order over $300 (excluding gift cards).
Please contact customer service on 1800 000 610 for more details"

      • LOL, no thanks. I couldn't find anything else I wanted.

  • Finally some sanity! :)
