I'm pretty sure I saw these at the Reject Shop for around $30-$40 each. Not sure about quality, but surely they serve the same purpose..

    • how long ago… not paying $100

      • +1

Yeah would've been around Christmas, couple weeks ago

    • I saw some there before Christmas, couldn't see the price though.

    • Yeah think it was $40 just before Xmas. I saw them too.

    • I seen that at Macquarie Reject shop for 35 each….looks exactly the same!

How does the beer stay cold? Is there a chiller in the base where the tap is?

    • I've seen these when I traveled overseas. They have a tube running down the middle containing ice.

    • +1

You're supposed to drink it before it gets warm

      • -2

        Unless you're a Pom

    • There's a tube in the middle you fill with ice.

  • +5

    Must… resist… inner… bogan…

  • +13

dont understand the point of these

    they dont remain cold

    they dont retain carbonation

you need to open 6 x 500ml cans to fill or 4 x 750ml bottles

    why bother?

sure there's a slight bogan thrill a pouring on tap but it goes away after you taste warm flat beer

  • It's just a carrying device, much like the trusty jug, to take the beer back to your table with whatever x amount of beers in it.

Totally useless in a backyard setting.

    • +1

But it's "As Seen in FIJI"!

      • Yes, of course, silly me … you can pretend your backyard is in FIJI …

  • +3

Must be nuts to buy this. 100 bucks is worth at least 2 slabs.

    • +7

Two slabs of icy cold goodness that doesn't have to be poured twice.

$33 a litre for beer is not a bargain

    • +2

      It's actually 6 litres of beer tube so that's only $20 a litre :)

      • Actually, if you want to get more specific ~$16.67/L

        • +4

Actually-actually, there's no beer being supplied here.

  • +3

Worth 3 slabs of beer and 5 bags of chips in aldi…… No deal here!!!

    • So speaketh the Aldimeter… all hail the great Aldimeter.

why are people comparing a beer tube and beer itself? do you buy a dinner table and say it is worth 10 dinners so you don't buy it?

    • +1

How useful is a dining table? Not a toy. How useful is this? A toy.

    • +2

BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED A BEER TUBE TO DRINK BEER! But you would look like an idiot hosting dinner without a dinner table. Answers your question?

      #duh

      • The questions were actually rhetorical but i answered them myself anyway.

        duh x2

        • just to clarify mate, my reply was to @alebox. ;)

        • duh x3

    dual beer bongs? awesome!

    For college drinking games?

    • +1

what dafuq is college drinking games?

first off - it's called Uni - second off, we don't need to play "games" - we already have a "game" and it's called DRINKING.

here's how it works. first you have a drink. then you have a drink. then you repeat these steps over and over until you fall down.

people that need 'games' to get drunk are (profanity) idiots

  • +1

    looks like a bong.

  • I have seen these in bars, I think they are more suited there where they can fill them from a draught tap.

There, I just saved you like $93.40. Or $92 if you double the hose and make two.

  • This is just too expansive. Why would you buy that. Even if you give it to me I will probably not use it anyway. Not a bargain for sure.

  • Bob Hawke needs to buy one so he can beat his old record with a bigger container to drink from.

  • Can anyone comment on the boxed size. Thinking of transporting one overseas as a gift but need to know if it will fit in my case.
