  Got some Roman blinds from spotlight. Fell apart in 6 months. Not worth $2

    I got the slightly more expensive roller blinds with the steel cords about 5 months ago and they still work great but they are not what you would call top quality more great value at 40% off .

      We got the roller blinds with the plastic cords from spotlight. Not really happy with the part they roll on to. It is just thick cardboard tube. After not very long all the blinds have a noticable sag in the middle of the roll. They dont roll smoothly due to it. Pretty poor they dodnt use something better than paper/cardboard.

      Might try putting dowel in the middle of the tube. Should stabilise it.

        We've had some for the best part of 10 years, without that problem. You may have gotten a dud batch?

        The smaller ones have been better. We have a few ones around 1.6 or 1.8m wide. From more than one batch as well, all of those have bent.

        They probably made them better 10 years ago, you cant really compare.

  What is day/night and how is it double layer? are there 2 pull strings? are they see through?

    pretty much 2 roman blinds in 1.
    1st layer is sheer which gives you privacy but lets the light in and the 2nd blocks out everything.
