use as an in car screen for movies, photo player at home. or what ever.

I have a similar spec tablet and it is fine for watching movies on the train to work or surf the interwebz at home.

      Hmm $47 isn't going to break the bank. I can see that they have horrible reviews online but would this thing be okay if all i mostly want to do is read magazine PDFs during my work lunch break?

        Check out the Kobo Arc if you want a tablet with 1280 x 800 resolution and 16GB/1GB memory. Only costs $129 from JB HIFI. The speakers are front facing as well.

        It will fit the purpose, but it won't last. Unless you only plan on using this device for a few months, I would recommend buying a better Tablet with local warranty.

    1cm in height is pretty thick tablet.

    Any other cheap chinese tab, which is thin and light? my only criteria as I need it mobile.
